This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

You left off the last part...

We know the insurance will kick in and buy us some exotic new car in 2018.
It'll be new and shiny, but you won't have any idea if it will run on a cold winter's morning...

Typical Jete move to put all faith/hope in an off-season miracle.

The new twist this year is they're doubling down by tanking the season too.

However it's hard to tell the difference between a Jete normal season and Jete tank season.

The common thread is The Jete Suck!

The writer achieved the impossible.

I have no idea how anybody can possibly limit a list of all the dumb things the Jete have done to just ten items.
It's also mind boggling that they found eight dumber things the Jete have done worse than letting BB walk out the door.

Ahh those poor reporters who have to try to come up with content. It's pretty remarkable that they can go to their editors and say, "Why don't we do a piece on how bad the Jete suck?", and the editors are on board for it.

I was at the grocery store in Northern Virginia this Sunday wearing my Patriots five Super Bowls tee shirt. While the cashier checks out my items, the guy behind me sees my shirt and says, "I've always liked the Patriots, even though I'm from New York." So I replied, "Did you live around Albany?', knowing that there are New England fans in that area. He said, "No, I'm from Long Island." Then he adds that he's a Jets fan. He didn't seem to be putting me on, so I was wondering if I should have given him the name of a psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of schizophrenia.

I used to like Buffalo when they lost 4 straight SBs. Every year I was hoping and praying for them to finally get it done. Back then if we were even in the equation, that's one thing, but I don't think we were for that whole stretch.

JETE fans probably prefer to see our familiar hindquarters leaving them (and the rest of the league) in the dust. It means "Well what can you expect, we have the greatest dynasty of all time in the division.)

See that's the problem. We've basically sucked at sucking. Whereas say Indi or the Giants were great at sucking when needed to get top draft picks. We always suck bad (but not quite the worst, enough for top picks), and then rebound with a good team around a **** QB. Compete for playoffs a bit... then repeat.

New game plan now. Hopefully.

Get your fill of this thread being true. It may not be that way much longer. Though I really hope this thread still stays going in couple years when NE is bringing up the rear and the Jets are winning the division.

In a few years the Jete will still be getting it in their ear (see what I did there?) and the Pats will still be winning the division.

I think that was a cry for help.

There are people who go through life with the feeling that they are "born in the wrong fanbase". He's probably got a closet full of Brady t-shirts and cut-off hoodies. He should move to Cambridge. We're very tolerant.
I like you take on the fan. And your solution is a lot easier than a sex change operation. --- But was that Cambridge, MA, or Cambridge, England?

Yes, now you're starting to admit the truth. Your team sucks and YOU SUCK by extension, besides possessing the reasoning power of a box of rocks and a voracious appetite for self-humiliation.

@JetFan79 - The Jets winning the division? Do you really think they will over the next ten years?

I don't. I think the Jets are far away. REALLY far away. I don't see them tasting a Superbowl run in the next 10-20 years. I truly think your Jetes are JUST NOW entering the era of true suckage. The last 48 years were just suckage.

I see... sort of like the Darwinian theory "Origin of the Species"...The Origin Of The Suckage....I would surmise that, if accurate (and who would argue otherwise?), the Jete will continue to evolve in their suckage to the point where they suck in upon themselves and cease to exist.

Isn't that kind of like a black hole? Perhaps you could call it the Green Hole Theory of Terminal Suckage.

No...and I'll explain why. Theory is, at last look, that a black hole is actually a wormhole. In other words, you go over the event horizon and instead of being crushed into an infinitesimal mote, you travel through a wormhole and come out at some other point in the universe. This would imply the Jete could actually escape The Suckage. Observable phenomena suggest otherwise. The Jete suckage continues at an ever increasing, exponential rate. Thus, there is only one fate. The Ziggy Stardust Effect.

Then the kids will ask:

Kid: Daddy. Why dont we have a sports team no more?
Dad: Son, its because were Jetes fans. To save New Jersey from committing mass suicide, we banished em back to College. I hear they STILL suck. Even with Rex Ryan leading the way.

A friendly reminder: proper reference to the New Jersey team is the Jete, not the Jetes.

No surprise that I disagree. I don't want to bore you guys going through each position again (I've done it once or twice already), but suffice to say we're not in bad shape.

Granted we're in HORRIBLE shape for this season though. However that's by design. The front office has basically done everything it can to guarantee as few wins as possible this year.

Yet, there is a huge upside to this year as well. We're an extremely young team. Only four guys over 30 (McCown and Forte probably won't be here after this year, the long snapper and one dlineman). And there is plenty of young talent to develop this year, with let's face it, no pressure at all.

Come Feb 2018, the team should have $90+mil in cap space, a great draft pick and a team of youngin's with a season under its belt. Using the draft and FA to fill the remaining holes. Which I figure will probably include something like: QB, WR1, an olineman or 2, a CB, and a young RB.

I'd say this time next year I'll be psyched. But I already am even for this season. I'm looking forward to watching all the young guys develop. I'm sure they won't all succeed, but it'll be fun rooting for it.

"Ton of salary cap space"

"Ton of picks"

"We're in great shape"

Since when does copying the Brown's team building model equate "we're in great shape"?

Since the NYJFL is the organization doing it?
