Whilst I agree in theory, can you imagine the dual threat of AP and TB behind the OL. Reputation counts for a lot in the NFL and the fear of All Day running over you means teams will need to stack the box which works to Brady's advantage or they drop more men into coverage fearing TB12 which opens up the box for AP.AP isn't magically going to make our run game better. That falls on the offensive line. We averaged 3.9 ypc this year. AP alone might improve that but maybe by .1 or .2. We need line depth and someone who can just do their job as a running back
Those numbers are putrid. He was a force at UF. He's a dud in the NFL.
i still don't understand why we would want him(cooks)? Who will he replace?I'll answer that.
First WR is the most overrated position in the field
Second when you have tom Brady he makes whoever you out at WR better. Since there is a finite amount of money to spend for the entire team I am worried more about improving the spots that tom Brady can elevate instead if spending money to help the one guy who doesn't need it.
Same question as with Cooks, why do we want or need himThey claim we are interested in DeSean Jackson, feel like that's made up to gauge interest. Doesn't seem like our sorta guy. Probably expensive too. Could be wrong though.
Why? They've handled him in the past. When he actually had something left.He would be a problem for us in the AFC on the Raiders...

Not to mention Carr is significantly better than Bradford and Bridgewater. The Raiders are a much more complete offense than anything the Vikings have ever had, he wouldn't be the focal point of the offense and could really excel, assuming he's fully recovered from his injury.. which I believe he has, because he came back towards the end of last season and could have played if they were a playoff contender
We'll see. I think he's toast, and I think they've handled him in the past when he definitely wasn't toast. The Raiders are a much more complete offense than anything the Vikings have ever had, he wouldn't be the focal point of the offense and could really excel, assuming he's fully recovered from his injury.. which I believe he has, because he came back towards the end of last season and could have played if they were a playoff contender
Nah. Just require all the scouts to eat at Popeyes, looking for the next UDFA.I am hoping butler stays with the pats but drafting a corner's a must in this draft.
No way to keep him out of the RFA market, short of not tendering and letting him hit the UFA market. If he wants to test the market you can't extend him as long as he refuses to sign the extension offer. And if he is determined to test the water you'll have to go to crazy money to convince him otherwise.I actually think he gets extended.
The real danger of letting him in the RFA market is he will know what he can expect next year so resigning him during the season will be harder.
Hopefully it works out but we can win with him and we can win without him.
Jack Doyle off the board. Staying in the dumpster.
I could care less, never wanted him to begin with. TE is a position I would expect to see filled at the draft.
Does not appear to be much value in TE FA market. Believe we will draft one.
The comment of mine you quoted was about Easley, not Cooks.i still don't understand why we would want him(cooks)? Who will he replace?
Linda is also from there. Very interesting.
I don't believe for one second the Patriots are in on DeSean Jackson.
No way
Cooks >>>> Gabriel
Cooks would be a superstar for 4-5 years in a pats uniform.
