Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Sadly, "reasonable" does not seem to be a job requirement for commissioner of a multi-billion dollar corporation.
With Goodell it's either "spin the wheel of discipline" or here's an opportunity to screw the team that wins too much coupled with some dipsh*tty "No More" ad campaign.

I think violence towards women by NFL players happens more than we can possibly imagine. The owners and Goody know this.
I think if the league suspended all the players who committed violence towards women there would be a hefty number of them sitting out a few games on a regular basis.
They want to sweep this under the rug badly. The problem is that because of their incompetence, lack of moral construct and inept PR skills, they are making it much, much worse.
Which is just proof that the league doesn't care about STOPPING domestic violence, they care about nobody knowing how often it truly happens.
When it leaks out, they'll screw up the penalty a few times, eventually suspend the player (who still gets paid), and then pretend it didn't happen.
They need to be transparent, lifetime bans (not paid ******** like Josh Brown) for a few more players. Maybe then it will finally sink into players heads that 1.) They WILL be caught, and 2.) They won't be making $$

They need to get the hell out of the off-the-field-discipline business.

how can this guy continue to "lead" the league? A little bit of vindication for the GOAT regarding the deflate-gate railroading job too..

I don't think that shoe has dropped yet. The NFL has been making a lot of idiotic, short-sighted decisions that have only begun to hit them. Right now it's just the decision to put money over product quality, terrible PR, and the erosion fan trust. They still have the CTE fallout, relationship with the players, and relationship with the media to weather.I think that's part of it but I also think it's a combination of things.
One that I find interesting is the CTE angle which has been around for about 15 years or so.
I believe parents have been increasingly opting for their kids to play in other less dangerous sports because of CTE concerns, and the lack of trust in the NFL's handling of it, that may have led to some of the decline.

Pretty that most professions you can get canned for inappropriate conduct outside your "work environment".
Does your job check your balls too?
I seriously wonder what his wife thinks. If I behaved that way Mrs RW would kill me if not divorce me. maybe she would kill me then divorce me?
Very true. There's a lot of immoral women out there. It would not surprise me if she has the same mentality as the fuhrer.
