I will take it all In stride and keep the team building in perspective
Will not whine not a troll found this website back in 7th grade detention fell in love with it then reaching out to fellow Pats fans who have more knowledge of the team and game then myself.
Love my Patriots wear my gear in Eagle and Steelers country.
Just want to see Bill lift the Lombardi again while he still is the head coach.
Sorry for the whining I'm Bill we trust.

I didn't take your comment as whining. I think there's zero chance they pay Sopoaga anything. Others have shown some skill in getting players we'll see how it is in the end.

Maybe now Denver can't pay Ware?
One can hope.
Bill knows all Talibs tendencies and weaknesses.
I expect Bill to be ready for him no matter who we sign as receiver.

Revis
Browner
Munnerlyn still out there.

That has got to be one of the stupidest signings I've every heard of. And I've been a huge Talib homer.

Anyone thing that the Pats should have given this deal to Talib? More evidence that the team is cheap?
The smart thing about this signing for them is it effectively buries their main competitor in the AFC. They saw first hand how much of a joke our D is without Talib. And they know Revis here is a long shot at best.

Good news for the Patriots...

With so many teams having gotten their safeties, the Patriots might be able to sneak under the radar and sign Steve Gregory on the cheap!

I guess Talib won't have to settle for that $5m per year Patriots deal that so many were pushing in another thread, huh?

It's bound to come up since you are one of this site's more prolific posters, so I'll prememptively ask the question: "What are your thoughts on the deal Talib got?" Was it to high for the Pats to match? Or is it a Welkeresque scenario?

Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 2m
Filed to ESPN: Denver has reached agreement on a 6-year, $57M deal that includes $26M gtd with former Patriots CB Aqib Talib, per sources.

Consider New England in play for Revis tomorrow? Or Browner?

Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 1m
And now with CB Aqib Talib a Bronco, Patriots figure to make a real push for Darrelle Revis.

Not sure it means that. Might mean they'll direct money to dl. Revis at 16m is still very expensive.

In Bill we trust.

Is Denver cheating the cap again?

LOL.

Haha, probably just backloaded the hell out of the contract. Could be that they know they have a 1-2 year window with Peyton and are fine with sucking after that

LS Danny Aiken, TE Hoomanawanui and I hear Phil Costa might be coming in for a visit! Now all they have to do is spend all of their draft picks on unknown Safety prospects and call it a day.

No way. I agree with bill on this one. Balky hip possible suspension next strike.

Broncos, Aqib Talib strike six-year deal | ProFootballTalk

Early on the first day of free agency, the Broncos added one of the top safeties available in Cleveland’s T.J. Ward.

Now, they have added perhaps the best cornerback in the class.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Broncos and Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib have reached a six-year, $57 million contract with $26 million in guarantees.

PFT has confirmed that Talib has a deal in place with Denver.

The 28-year-old Talib was the top cornerback and the No. 4 overall player on PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100.

Talib (6-1, 205) has intercepted 23 passes in six NFL seasons. His size and playmaking ability make him especially valuable in a time where bigger cornerbacks are desired to match up against tall and skilled wide receivers.

The Broncos’ agreement with Talib would seem to leave Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s future with Denver in major doubt. Earlier on Tuesday, the Denver Post reported that the club was “closing in on” bringing back Rodgers-Cromartie. However, Talib’s addition would, at the very least, seem to complicate a potential return for Rodgers-Cromartie, an unrestricted free agent who would figure to have other options.

How do the Broncos have the money for all these FA? Can still make a splash with Allen and Revis

According to the first reports, it's a market value contract. He was among the top 4 CBs on the market and, from a first hearing of the numbers, he got paid in that range. It certainly wasn't too high to match, but I don't look at it as a Welker scenario, either.

And they're going to get Ware too...

So how long before Denver announces they've signed Edelman?

Im guessing DRC will be sought after now, or Browner but hes suspended the first for games of the season

How do the Broncos have the money for all these FA?

They cut an over-the-hill Champ Bailey ($10M cap saving), we're keeping an injured Vince Wilfork ($7.5M+ cap savings). Switch those two around and we'd have had considerably more cap space to work with than the Broncos.

You, Me, and your Mother all know that Talib will not be on the Broncos for the 4th, 5th and 6th years of that contract.
