Good pick, nice to see them go for the pass rusher with the upside. Patsfans have to be happy about this choice regardless of whether they trade out at #31.

Take David at #31 and it's a great night. Same goes for about 5 other players on my list, there are some really good prospects who will be there.

funny.. I partied with chandler before, he even drove my car back once, my friend thats int he NFL now played with him at syracuse.. cool dude, very athletic, very happy to have him as a pat.... btw his one from is in the NFl, his other brother is John BONE Jones

WOW didn't know Bones was his brother, that's sick

Mayock has a serious hard on for Jones, FWIW.

Yeah, in his mock he wrote:

"The general public might not know a lot about him, but my view is -- and I'll take a lot of heat for this -- three years from now, he might be the best defensive player to come out of this draft."

If we actually do use pick #31 I'd like to see them get someone like Ronnell Lewis.

I love the Jones pick :rocker:

Justin Smith plays in an one-gap 3-4.

Jones is going to be an OLB.

Great size with long arms. Missed first five games senior year. This guy might be a game changer.

Sorry to fully disappoint you, but he is not an OLB. He is a 3-4 DE.
6'5"266 lbs, that's pretty much prototypical size for a BB OLB.

If we go 3-4, yes initially but he's bot the build to add weight. The point is, he's versatile at least in the long term. I like the pick.

You have to assume BB will trade back from 31 to replenish the lost pick.

He's way too small to be a DE in the 3-4. He is only 265lbs. He will be an OLB.

He is a 3-4 DE with some versatility to play as a 4-3 DE. There's nothing to suggest he can play OLB. Pats don't take conversion projects in the first and what's more he does not have the lateral movement skills to play OLB. His body type is pure 3-4 DE. He just needs to fill out.

Putting 20 pounds on that frame will be an easy task for the strength staff this offseason.

Chandler Jones to the PATS!!!

Can't stop laughing at this .gif.

Greg A. Bedard ? @GregABedard
Like I said earlier, he's the Elephant prototype....but he may not be ready this season. Scouts think he needs seasoning

Greg A. Bedard ? @GregABedard Close
Even Mayock said Jones could be great...in 3 years.

Steelers getting REAL good value with Decastro.

Does that mean Hightower, who everyone mocked to the Steelers, falls to us? Does he get past BAL?

damn DeCastro drops all the way to the Steelers.

Yeah, he looks like McGinest in terms of build. McGinest was 6-5, 270lb.
