Default Big Al is #6 in the NBA in post all-star efficiency

According to NBA.com, Al is #6 in the NBA in the 14 games since the all-star game. That is a sizeable sample. Only Lebron, Kobe, Garnett, Stoudemire and Nowitski are ahead of his 27.1. If Al had played like this for an entire season, he would have ranked #4 overall in the league behind Garnett, Wade and Nowitski. Big Al may be BETTER than even his most ardent fans realize, although his defense needs alot of work. Still, if Al can play anywhere close to his current level the future of the Celtics is very bright.

Nice stat.

Al's offensive play down-low has been great of late and I agree it bodes well for the C's future, especially if we add one of those top two draft picks along side of him. His defense seems to be improving as well.

His moves on the offensive side are just vicious. Best low post threat since McHale?

If we trade this kid I would be p'od in a big way. For being so young he sure can pull 20 and 10 pretty consistently.

Lets just hope the C's get lucky and draft #1, or #2. If they do we'll have such a nasty, and young team, that we'll be good in 2 years, for the following 10.
