Watching the game back last night, Mac Jones definitely looked more comfortable in his first full game in over a month than he did a week ago, but still not close to where he needs to be. 

“I thought Mac did a good job,”Belichick said.“He got the ball out quickly. We gave up some pressure, but I thought he did a good job.”

Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had a little better performance away from Gillette Stadium on Sunday during the New England Patriots 22-17 win over the Jets, albeit it certainly wasn’t perfect. 

“Part of that’s because there’s been less bad plays in the beginning of the game to get behind. But they play good defense.” Belichick said.

This is clearly a big week for New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, who had a disastrous return last Monday night against the Bears in his first game action since getting hurt against the Ravens in Week 3.

If the New England Patriots hope to salvage their season, they’ll need to either go all in behind Mac Jones, or pray that Bailey Zappe just had an off night against Chicago on Monday because if not, Bill Belichick may end up with quite a problem on his hands.

It appears New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones has the ball back in his hands after a report on Wednesday revealed he took 90% of the snaps in practice ahead of Sunday’s AFC East showdown against the Jets. Now he just needs to make sure it stays there.

The Jets have been beset with injuries.  In this past week’s game, they lost Rookie of the Year candidate RB Breece Hall and starting OG Alijah Vera-Tucker. 

While New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones will probably get booed the next time he takes the field, at least it won’t be by the home fans.

It’s not often you see Bill Belichick make any egregious errors, but it’s safe to say that regardless of where you may fall on the Mac Jones vs Bailey Zappe debate, the future Hall of Fame head coach is probably sitting there this morning wishing he had handled things differently.

The Bears excelled in all phases of the game, and took advantage of a flat Patriot team who started the wrong quarterback and never really overcame their awful start.
