Coming off of Sunday’s win over the Jets, the New England Patriots are likely facing a Minnesota Vikings team that potentially puts some points on the scoreboard this week. 

Some thoughts after the Patriots beat the New York Jets on Sunday to improve to 6-4 on the season.

Today, the Jets could only rush for 59 yards, 26 of them on scrambles from Wilson. They averaged just 2.6 yards per carry. 

I still can’t believe the Jets actually kicked it to Marcus Jones with 26 seconds left in the game.  If they just kick it out of bounds, the Patriots probably would have kneeled down and gone on to Overtime. 

The only way the Patriots were going to win on Sunday was going to be on a defensive touchdown or a special teams touchdown. Offense? Good gracious.

“It’s hard to play a team and remember all the things that you did a week or two weeks ago. There are some things that come back to you.”

The Patriots really need to get the passing game going, and that means not only Jakobi Meyers but some of the other players as well.

Rather than repeat the depth chart for the Jets I will analyze what they have done since they lost to the Patriots and why I think the Jets are a real threat to beat the Patriots in Gillette.   You cannot ignore the fact that the Patriots have beaten the Jets 13 straight times.   This is the NFL and streaks like that don’t happen often.  The Patriots are more probable to lose this game.

Frank Reich is a good head coach.  Since Andrew Luck got hurt and missed the entire 2017 season, Reich has been playing from behind. 

It’s a pretty big week for the Patriots, who have the chance to get above .500 on Sunday if they can come up with a win at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts running the ball this season, are averaging only 87.9 yards per game. Jonathan Taylor has been hobbled by an ankle injury
