My opinion is give Stidham 6 games. A little over a 3rd of the season. If in 6 games he is 1-5 or 2-4..... odds are that takes the team out of the playoffs. If that is the case, you pull him and you put Hoyer in to get you Lawrence.
Stidham is an experiment. There is no need to commit beyond a small little try out to prove it or not.
I agree.I don’t agree. For example Joe Montana was 0-1 in his 1st season, 2-5 in his 2nd season. Bill won’t yank him if he is 2-5...not if he is a believer...”experiment” or not.
Forehead Manning was 3-13 his 1st season, Elway was 4-6, Rodgers 6-10.
Edit: if he does pull him...it’s to give him a break and a fresh start in 2021 IMO.

Cassel inherited a team that was very close to a top NFL team of all time that will be discussed amongst the greatest teams ever and he failed to make the playoffs despite and easier scheduleMatt Cassel would beg to differ. . . .
I dont know why everyone is down on Stidham. .
