Someone calling you a slur isn't an excuse to try and kill them.Yea im not buying the racial slur excuse. Garrett looking worse by the day
More probable than not that he didn't say it.
Garrett beforehand issued an apology to everyone including Rudolph. Then he lost his appeal and suddenly he plays the race card. Sooner or later, there has to be a penalty, a deterrent for playing the race card falsely, whether in sports or in politics like Smollett and countless others have done.So Garrett lied about something that would have put Rudolph into a very bad spot. That needs to be punished. They should add games to Garrett's suspension for that. And mgteich should apologize to Rudolph for making this thread.
OK
It is not a suspendible offense to try to tear off a player's helmet, and then get up a move toward the player. I've learned something.
Maybe we'd feel differently if the Rudolph was going after Guy or Simon. Perhaps not.
Referee Clete Blakeman, who was in close proximity to Garrett and Rudolph as the fight began, said in the officials’ report he did not hear a racial slur, according to Cabot.
Although interior offensive linemen are mic’d up during the game to enhance the audio of the broadcast, specifically sound from the quarterback, that audio is not recorded for use or available after the game is over.
What’s more, there was no audio available from any of the Fox Sports cameras at the game that captured sound from the incident. Camera angles of the struggle between Garrett and Rudolph didn’t provide evidence that a racial slur was used.
NFL simply doesn't want any more controversy on their precious 100th, it took them a nanosecond to investigate, didn't even interview Browns players. There is no precedent for indefinitely suspending Garrett for an on field incident. Zero.Garrett was the one mic’d up for the game? Well if the tape is released and I hear it for myself I’ll believe he lied. For now I’ll just call it an unprovable claim. Nfl consistently screws up these sorta situations.
It doesn't even matter if its true. Someone calling you a slur isn't an excuse to try and kill them.
Or at least the only way I would accept it as an "excuse" if it was followed by admitting that he way over reacted.
Accusing someone of saying something racist to get out of something dumb one did is absolutely a market cornered by minorities. Nobody cares if a white dude gets called a cracker. Doesn’t move the needle.Saying that someone said something to provoke an act isn't a method invented by minorities. Everybody does it.

Looks like ya wrong. Suspend the beast
You’re deathly afraid of black guys, huh? You know that one isn’t going to appear out of thin air and beat you up for being critical of one of their own right? They’re people. Not the boogey men. You don’t have to live in this obvious constant state of fear of them nor do you have to be some sort of low T white apologist for them like a child trying to appease a bully. Garrett is wrong on this one. No evidence whatsoever supports what he said. Minorities play the racism card to their advantage. These are facts. That works because of spineless white “men” like yourself.I see the Detached Logical Men of Reason have arrived with their NFL-provided facts.
After I read “He gives of the impression he’s a punk”, my mind short circuited!Rudolf started it. He gives of the impression that he is a punk.
Rudolf grabbed Garrett's facemask first.
Garrett does not have a history of this type of behavior. Garrett said that he cracked. Something was building up all game. The other Browns DL jumped in and pushed baby face Rudolf to the turf. Rather odd thing to do on a whim unless Rudolf was mouthy to him too.
I want to know more if it ever gets out that the Steelers did something wrong.
It’s ok to treat all humans exactly the same. No one has to be more careful or nicer to certain races. You’re deathly afraid of black guys, huh? I ****ing hate every single race. White people chief among them. We are the worst, most useless, most spineless race on the entire planet. It’s ok to treat all humans exactly the same. No one has to be more careful or nicer to certain races.
only a phony person would do that. I know white people that think every time they interact with someone of color, they have to act as if they’re an ambassador of the white race!!!
Please don’t apologize. Selflessness went out with the Inquisition. We’re all just reaching for that last piece of Lindt candy while knocking down little children and old ladies.I ****ing hate every single race. White people chief among them.
