If you are a Florida Gators fan, at least you could have a better football player to worship than Tim Tebow. The Cleveland Browns board awaits you.

I could just be here and say I'm a Spikes fan? Pretty please!!!

Haden is awesome though.

Is this YOU, Remurker?...using one of the many aliases you brag about when you troll other fan boards??

Remarker has nothing to do with the mental instability so clearly displayed in that video. It must've felt pretty dirty wearing a jets hat, eh?

what happened Demos???...I understand to a point, you've been a westie Denver fan before Tebow hit NJ....if you were here at that time you would have complete comprehension now and would have known before Tebow ever signed with the Rats...even the youngest, least experienced Patriot fan knows the only thing Sparano has EVER been good for....

Hahahhaha.

/frakking banging my head.

Do you understand the notion of a CONCEPT or UNDERLYING PHILOSOPHY as opposed to the nuts and bolts details ?

You guys are talking nuts and bolts. That's not what I was talking about.

I’m not sure, for that matter I’m not even sure you know what you’re talking about. You made mention of the moneyball strategy that the Oakland Athletics adhered to in the early 2000’s. That strategy was to find designed to find players that did not possess rare talents, who could be had for a low cost and provide a certain metric which when combined into a unit would result in an overall performance. I do not see anything that could be nuts and bolts similar with the Tebow situation, unless you’re attempting to say that the body of Tebow’s work (stats) does not matter because he wins games, in which case I’d argue that Tebow in 3 years has never been part of a team with a winning record, his teams combined records during his tenure including 2 playoff games are 23-29 for a 0.442 winning percentage.

you'd love to wear Tebow's little pink hat wouldn't you, Remurker...but Space Mongo Brandi won't let you, just like she won't let you wear your nuts once a month like she promised...there they sit, right in front of you on top the ice chest, swimming in a mason jar of formaldehyde...your itty bitty ticksticles...so near and yet so far out of reach...don't worry, eventually you'll wither and die, like a piece of swamp cabbage and the world will never know nor care that you ever existed....:amen:

I'll try yet again. Sabermetrics is premised on the notion that the CONVENTIONAL WISDOM used by all MLB teams in looking at evaluating and rating players was WRONG. It was FLAWED. Repeated use of it kept putting teams together with the WRONG PLAYERS.

I'm saying that the "conventional wisdom" of most the NFL is also flawed. That "conventional wisdom" is what led to Brady being taken in the 6th round.

Serious discussion ????

Josh and his brother worked with Tebow when he was drafted by the Broncos in 2010. When Josh got fired, that development tailed off. 2011 was the lockout with abbreviated TC/PS. Tebow was there and worked as a QB, but it wasn't as intensive as it was in 2010. As we all know, he took over as the starter for the 6th game, and "development" would have stopped there and "on the job training" took over.

For a development project, becoming the starter has both it's pros and it's cons.

With the Jets last year under Sparano and Cavanaugh ? Who knows what happened. Mike Westhoff said that they didn't do much with him iirc.

You act as if Tebow was a late round draft pick of UDFA, he played 4 years of college football, starting 3 of them under who many to believe is the best offensive college football coach of his time Urban Meyer, then he was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft, was coached in his 1st season by McDaniel’s one of the best offensive minds in the NFL, and in his 2nd season he worked under the umbrella of one of the best mobile quarterbacks to ever play the game, his 3rd season he failed to run a wildcat offensive set under Sparano who was the head coach of the Dolphins when they were the first team to successfully integrate it into a NFL offense.

Now all of a sudden in year 4 Tim Tebow is a developmental player, are your kidding me with this ****? If Tebow is still being a developed in year 4 as a 1st round pick we should really cut Cunningham, Dowling, Bequette, and Wilson some slack..

I understand except for this one thing; Tebow was rated as a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, he went 25th overall, so are you saying that him being rated that high was wrong? If so I think the Denver Broncos would be in agreement.:caked:

Where to even start ? Yes, he played 4 years of college ball and started 3 of those years. And yes, he played under Urban Meyer, one of the best offensive football coaches there is.

Just stopping right here for a sec, even with all that as a given, he was still seen as a DEVELOPMENT PROJECT coming out of college.

And yes, he was drafted by Josh McDaniels in 2010 and he worked with Josh McDaniels, JUST LIKE I SAID.

As for his 2nd season, who is this "one of the best left handed mobile quarterbacks to ever play the game" that you speak of ?

As for his 3rd season, I guess you believe that crap about Tony Sparano "bringing the wildcat to the NFL", huh ? Sparano was the HC, but Dan Henning and David Lee were the architects of the Wildcat, NOT Sparano. Henning had run a bit of it at Carolina and Lee ran it at Arkansas. Sparano had NO history with it what so ever.

Just to illustrate the silliness of your contention, I guess Rex Ryan is now a WCO guru now since that's the offense that the Jets are running. Right ? I mean, he's the HC and all, so he must know that offense inside and out.

If you want to talk draft position, we have to clear something up first. There are ratings that speak of where players should go in the draft, then there are projections which is where the "experts" believe a player will go based on additional factors such as team need.

Tebow was rated as a 1st - 3rd rounder, depending on whom you talked to. He was projected to go anywhere from the late first round through the 2nd round iirc.

Was going at 25th too high at the time ? I don't think so. BUT, taking him that high did go against "conventional wisdom".

What a hypocrite.

I was ridiculed by Demos and Tebow Trolls for days because I said, with explicit sources, that he stayed in college for, among other reasons, his poor passing technique and the NFL scouting service advised him that he still had work to do and here is this troll saying that he was a developmental project when he graduated.

You were ridiculed because you were wrong. There's nothing hypocritical in what I said.

And you are also LYING. Your "explicit sources" didn't corroborate what you claimed. They actually contradicted you. I would say that you were mistaken right now, but I clearly explained this to you in the previous discussion, so for you to continue to make the claim now is to LIE about it.

You are a full of **** jackass.

I guess you missed the part I went back and added. Here, just so it doesn't escape your notice.

And no, I'm not full of ****. I'm right on the money with the entire post as it is written.
