I think next year, we're looking at a Brown/Strange/Andrews/Hines/Onwenu. Would like to upgrade Andrews, but he is what he is.....but as is, with Cannon in there at RT, I believe we still have a top O-Line in the league.
We had options at guard. We didn't at tackle. That's why those moves were made.To add to what @archstanton543, said, it was idiotic of Bill to pick up the option of a mediocre player who landed on IR majority of his career, then trade a G who was actually dependable for them.
Their rookie Jamaree Salyer was given the game ball yesterday for how well he played replacing Slater. They won’t want Wynn.Trade him to the Chargers to replace Slater. He's talented, but not very durable and I don't think he has any dog in him. He's just not consistently locked in.
He'll be a FA.Bury him on the bench for depth, then cut him after the season. He’s been a huge disappointment.
They had plenty of time in the offseason to address this before his option was picked up in May of 2021. It's not like his option came out of nowhere and caught Bill by surprise. We had options at guard. We didn't at tackle. That's why those moves were made.
Again, depending on their record, they should move players who they don't plan on re-signing no what the depth situation is.Honestly, I’d like to see them trade anyone who won’t be on the team long term. Agholor and Wynn would be great to move. Not sure they can move Harris since playing Rhamondre without a quality back up is playing with fire (if they dealt Harris and Rham goes down there is no starting caliber back on the team).
There is some truth to that statement. But if it was done to give them another season to see if they wanted to keep him around/extend him, it was worth the price, at the time. He'll be a FA.

The depth situation plays a factor into who they plan to re-sign though. If they have depth signed through next year at a position then they are less likely to re-sign one of their free agents. He'll be a FA.

But they won't. Even in the Cam year, they were trying to win. BB said the philosophy is different than the Suck for Luck Colts. I don't think they'll move Harris because he and Rham are a great running game, which is our best route for winning games right now, even if the team doesn't win a lot of them.Again, depending on their record, they should move players who they don't plan on re-signing no what the depth situation is.
We could say the same thing for 30 other teams I guess. What a draft whiff. Could have had Lamar
True thatWe could say the same thing for 30 other teams I guess.
Why would anyone want to pay Wynn $7.6M for the rest of the season? If they can trade him, there is no cap hit... its literally saving 100% of the balance of the contract because its fully guaranteed...
Why?Why would anyone want to pay Wynn $7.6M for the rest of the season?
What do you think we would get in return for an expensive underwhelming tackle for half a season? Why?
Why did the seahawks give up 2 first round picks for a safety? why did the colts give up a 1st for trent richardson?
I guess the answer is - some GM's do stupid things... thats about all I got
Yeah, would be hard to imagine. The only scenario I could think of would be before the trade deadline, an OT for a Super Bowl contender went down with a year ending injury and that said team had no good backup tackles. Highly unlikely. Why would anyone want to pay Wynn $7.6M for the rest of the season?
