Either Josh hasn’t been able to figure out how to use him through preseason and 15 games in the playoff hunt, or there isn’t a way. Each game without producing moves the needle further towards what you see is what you get.

If it takes 3 years for Mac and the offense to gel, the needle is not even a third of the way yet. But you are right each game the needle moves farther to the right, a third of the way to failure or success in about a month from now.

Ian and Kontra finally get to see a Pats game on broadcast TV at 1:00 pm on Sunday:

Unfortunately all other out of town Pats fans are faced with various risky alternatives if they don't have the Sunday Ticket, a VPN, or sports bar within walking distance.

If the Pats don't beat the Jags we can safely write off this season.

Jacksonville has given up the 5th most points in the NFL and an average of 350 total yards per game.

If this game isn't the formula for a fountain of youth for this anemic Patriots offense, I don't know what is.

Just get the basics right and we can win - run the football well, don't turn the ball over, convert your 3rd downs, oh and get TDs in the red zone instead of field goals. I'm not asking for a lot, I'm asking for us to beat one of the worst teams in the NFL this year. JAX is 2-13. Time to remind them why that is.

My Spectrum TV Guide has NO game on CBS at 1PM south of Tamper. Show the Pats, you clowns!

Looked like he took a pretty good hit actually… Absolutely should’ve been an extra 15 yards.

Leonard clearly led with his helmet and should have been a penalty, but his head was low and most of helmet hit Agholor's chest and not his head. Leonard's helmet did make contact with Agholor's face mask, but it was a clean hit.

Me too!!!

Look for the Pats to get back on track. The Jags are packing it in.

I expect the Pats to come out aggressive and laser focused this week against an inferior team. The real test will be next weekend in Miami, this week won’t tell us much even with a win.

I don't disagree that we may have too high a ceiling in terms of Jonnu Smith's ability. But we've seen him flash a few times as a pass catcher a Jet sweep runner and as a blocker. Together with Hunter Henry, the Patriots have a pair of complimentary TEs, whether they share snaps or line up in two TE sets.

What I would love to see is a slot receiver/TE-centric game. Repeatedly throw the ball, with a lot of play action, to Smith, Henry and whomever Josh thinks is his go-to slot receiver. If the slot guys are Olszewski and Meyers, go there frequently while Smith and Henry work the middle of the field and seam routes. Get Mac Jones looking in there, picking up six to 10 yards regularly, and comfortable like Brady was with his TEs and slot receivers when they need to pick up the pace.

The beauty of the Slot/TE focus is that it wears out linebackers and safeties, while forcing the QB to get the ball out in less than three seconds. Defensive linemen hate that stuff, the LBs and safeties need to stay home, and it sets up the run. Right now, the Patriots are so run-first, the defenses are putting six and seven guys in the box on almost every play.

Maybe Josh McDaniels doesn't trust these guys to be in the right place. Maybe he's too infatuated with a good running game.

Maybe the Jaguars are the right team to gash with this approach. I hope so.

Let s hope we can close the deal this week
We are IN if we win and if Lv or Mia loose
