I know Bolden was basically a STer but we usually carried 4 when he was here. I think going with 3 is a very likely possibility and as I said a rook with no preseason is likely too. But as light as we are at WR we might want one more skill position guy. Basically if we only dress 3 WR might want 4 backs.

It seems to me that it's at least partly a question of which one is more likely to be able to contribute something in week-1 (if necessary) - an RB who's had the benefit of OTAs and some Camp (at least the mental part), or a WR who just got here?

First tweet said "waived". Subsequent tweets corrected that to "waived-injured." If he's not claimed in 24 hours, he automatically reverts to IR.

There's no reason to waive/injure him other than to get rid of him and possibly give him an injury settlement so he can come back later

After the cutdown deadline, they can just IR players, no waivers necessary so I'm not sure why you're saying this was their plan all along

Seems like they liked him, claimed him, expected him to be healthy but realized he wasn't so, instead of IR and wasting a DTR on him, they waive/injured him so they have the chance of re-signing him later if nobody else scoops him up

If they truly wanted to keep him, they could just IR him. My guess is that they'd rather take a chance that someone else signs him than put themselves in a spot where they have to use a DTR on a fringe talent with no experience in the system.

Worth tracking like to have him stashed for next season.

It’s better just to forget about him. He’s gonna be like most other jets pickup, besides wood head. Wood head was bumped out though because the jets drafted a rb early even though he was a better back. This guy couldn’t even beat out other jets wrs.

Darboh was cut by Seattle, not the Jets

Hansen is still with the team for now

There is no DTR anymore.

Any player who is on the roster after the cutdown deadline and then placed on IR is merely eligible to return. It's no longer required for a team to "designate" who they're going to try to bring back at the moment they put the player on IR. They can wait until they want to bring someone back.

If there are four players on IR who were put there after cutdowns (immediately, after week-2 or week-4, or whenever), the team can choose up to two of them (after their respective waiting period has expired) - even one early and one a couple weeks later. And, they aren't required to designate or to bring back any of them.

It turns out that the Pats did NOT waive Darboh as "injured" as per the initial media reports that I had reacted to. If those initial media reports had been correct, after Darboh cleared waivers, he would have automatically reverted to IR (and become eligible for a later return). The Pats actually waived Darboh as "failed physical", in which case, he was completely off their hands after he cleared waivers.

WR Chad Handsome was a Draft Binky of mine...this Jets trash could be our treasure. It seems like the Pats scouted him many moons back. That said the Jets have some decent WR's on their roster with upside. Seems like Handsome got caught in the numbers game.

Why would Hill be inactive if he's healthy?
Michel Burkhead and white get all the reps. Don’t need 4 game day RBs.
Would depend upon how many game days actives are due to injury or due to only being limited to 45.

Some intriguing names on this list.. Wright could be a legit slot option early . solid preseason, made 500k at MIN . min vet should do the trick . liked Blanding out of college . would be nice PS addition after all young S depth gone..

I wonder how Kendall Wright did?? Of all the names who tryed out I find his intriguing. Reminds me of Patterson some another Viking First Round wide receiver who flopped.

Jacob Hollister seem to have build good repoire with Brady something not easy to do in TC. His Hamstring if it becomes a problem could really pose a problem for this Offense. Dwyane Allen cannot catch a cold. And too much inexperience at WR to rush that unit out in full force.
