We’re onto Miami

Ryan Lewis was, at best, the 7th or 8th CB on the depth chart. There's no way he was going to be kept on the 53.

When have we ever carried 7-8 CBs, even in the preseason?

Edelman took years to develop because he was a college QB

Dorsett has always been a WR, promising enough to be a 1st round pick. He shouldn’t need 5 years or even 3 years to develop

I don't think he's reached his potential in our offense, based on what I've seen and what I believe that the team wants him to do.

Pats long pass play is 30 yards...long run play is 15...if this trend continues on Sunday they will lose. At home. To the fu#king Dolphins...

We actually did carry 7 this year on the initial 53 and Ryan Lewis wasn't one of them.

You're right.. completely forgot we have Crossen and JC.

Thinking it might be time to start trying different combos of CB's to see if we get a spark

McDaniels is far from being on the hot seat - Kraft absolutely loves this guy and one of the reasons why he was pried away from going to the Colts - McDaniels is your next head coach in Foxboro unless Belichick sticks around another 5 or more years which I doubt

I am not a McDaniels fan, never was and never will be,I do hope the next coach brings new life to the team once this era has passed and keeps the team competitive for the near future.

If the Patriots go 3-and-out on their first three series on Sunday, you are welcome to continue believing the play calling is adequate for the NFL. I'd fire McDaniels and find somebody who can adapt to the personnel at his disposal that just happens to include the greatest quarterback of all time.

Agree. This really is a gut-check game.

If we think DET had a decent secondary MIA has 7 picks so far and Howard has 3 already.

Gordon has to play. Period.

Disagree on Gordon. Hold him out for Thursday game . Reason is if you can't beat Miami at home with the your regulars Gordon not gonna get you over the top.. (no pun intended. ).

Plus it would be symbolic of desperation. Not yet and not a good look.. At least playing him Thursday has logical basis. Also Edelman..!! But I could be wrong

If he’s healthy and can offer your team a better chance of winning, you play him, simple as that. He doesn’t have to do all that much to help. Of course, many here are just assuming that he’ll play without addressing the hamstring issue, so there’s that. He may be another game or two away, but I hope not.

Right.. aside from injury secrecy... can you rush hamstring issue...? But larger point is just managing your assets. 2games in 4days. You bring Edelman and Gordon into your offense gives you a lift that you absolutely need. How much we need it at this point not sure..

I think we can all agree that the passing game needs a lift, ASAP, so if Gordon can run a straight line and have a handful of basic plays that he knows, one would have to think that he’ll play, even if that means sitting him out on Thursday.

The fins game is waaaay more important, since it is divisional and would give them a three game lead + the tiebreaker.

Per Mike Reiss, Brady has missed 31% of his passes to wide receivers (highest in NFL) and, as I've mentioned before, has only ONE pass of 30 or more yards (it's 30 yards - and it may not even really be a catch - the bobbled Gronkowski ball down the team into double coverage vs Houston) and that is tied for lowest in the league. No reason to think this trend will not continue...

indeed even the most mediocre of offensive coaches can thrive when the guy in charge of the offense is a legend.....McDaniels is one of the most overrated coaches in the NFL and his tint with Denver showed that.

If Miami wins Sunday...they could very easily be an 11 or 12 win team...take a look at their schedule, not many tough games...@cin, @min, Jax, and @gb really only tough games after sunday

A win Sunday and Miami just needs to go 7-5 rest of the way to get to 11-5 and likely win the division...if this happens, the Pats would drop to 1-3 and could go no worse than 10-2 to win the division...scary times these...
its inevitable that these golden years will someday be nothing but a distant memory - many fans especially those that jumped on board in 2002 just aren't ready for that to happen but guys like me have been fans thru 1-15 seasons in the early 90s when a win literally gave you a raging hard-on so seasons in futility will eventually come - some homers live in fantasyville thinking this team will remain a top contender until they die - they need a reality check - enjoy it while it lasts - nothing lasts forever

Man... this thread just got a whole lot better. You got hate in your heart? Let it out.
