Or, you know, Belichick decided they need the cap room to get real help.
I'll believe it when I see it...The best option now might still be bringing Toni-O and Early-bird Bob together for some hugs, reconciliation, and re-signing...He's already paying him; he might as well play him too...Bill & Tom would approve; Roger might not, but have him make the next move...until then, he's in like Flynn.

That's not going to happen, if reports are anything approaching accurate. So, we should continue to hammer Kraft's stupidity on the issue, while trying to analyze and enjoy the attempts by BB and TB to fix the problem in the wake of that decision.

Eifert maybe. a Legit lineman, although I don't know who might be available. Sanders?

You just ruined my night! I thought you were going to say 'I have it on good authority we're saving up cap space for this retired TE whose name i can't say right now'.

Seriously, IMHO a lot depends on how good BB and staff feel about Wynn's return. If they feel good he will be coming back then I feel a bit better about OL, a bit (he's eligible 3 weeks from today?). Otherwise it's OL we need (but a Sanders would certainly be ok). But as you say "who might be available" is the problem. I suspect it's going to have to be someone labeled a malcontent or an eventual release that just needs the right team to play at a higher level. Probably file this under 'wishful thinking'

Well....... Damn. I still remember that amazing play of his at Denver that should have been called as a touchback. Heran faster thn I ever thought possible.

This release is all about Gronk. Why is he training otherwise?

Simple: BB will use the money towards a trade. That is all.

If a trade is going to happen it’s going to be after Thursday during the mini bye week.

Unless a player goes on IR, BB will say he has no open roster spot to add a player.

They didn't need to clear roof for Eifert.

Sanders is a pipe dream.

If they add anyone, they should focus on Diggs. The problem is that they need to make more adjustments to the cap while also giving him an extension to make it work.

Why do people keep mentioning Sanders? He's 32 with a 10.5M salary and in the final year of his contract.

A tie is "like kissing your sister" right? That's one of the big no-nos in the Bible. (And everywhere else outside of Indianapolis).

Ergo, there can be no God of the Tie. Ties are pagan.

Sanders is owed $8m the rest of 2019. Pats have ~$4m remaining in cap room. They would need to work out an extension or two with current 2019 players (DMC, High, KVN, etc)

If they make those moves it's mathematically possible but seems unlikely.

Edelman Diggs Gordon Dorsett Harry Meyers.

I can get down with that.
Gordon must be playing hurt hes not showing his game breaking speed or splash plays.
If he is reupped it will be at a bargain.
Thinking 2 years 9 Million dollars.
He more than likely would take less money if he is happy here.

As far as compensation for Diggs?
A second and a fourth is the most expensive I feel the Patriots should go.

We don't want to mortgage the future too much if we aren't 100 percent sure Stidham is the QB of the future.

Also please no more high picks at Runningback as we see all over the league unless you have Barkley talent, there is no reason to get a back before round 3.

The offensive line will need rebuilt.
Received and safety will need restocked.

First order of business should be reupping Van Noy and Mccourty.

Need Diggs now. Go young and dynamic and not old and ready to hit the wall.

When Gronk comes back in November thats icing on the cake.

Diggs or bust.

Diggs
Edelman
White

Brady has 3 solid options at WR.

Diggs caught only 3 passes last game wasting away in Minnesota with winter closing in. AB is out of the picture. Kraft will never bring him back. You dont disrespect the little man and get away with it. Tuna tried and found out .
