That's Cowherd in a nutshell. I haven't listened to his show in years, but he had mastered the ability to argue both sides of a point, even if he was contradicting what he said earlier. For example, he would say that Kobe Bryant could not hold a candle to Michael Jordan, then spend the next hour "proving" his point. A week later, he would claim that Kobe's accomplishments were superior to Jordan's and have stats and evidence to back up his claim.

If the Patriots win the SB or not, Cowherd will claim he was right, because he's covered all the possibilities.

Jeebus, look at that bracket. He only got 1 wild card game right which meant none of his divisional games happened. But then if you look at his winners in the divisional round he missed every one except NE.

A coin flip would have better results. And it's not like this year was super unpredictable, just picking the top seeds would give you 3 out of 4 teams left instead of the 1 he managed.
