Not at all, I just hate that Youth today think pop/rap is actually music. It's not. I'm quite the opposite of PC. I'm a huge music lover that misses the day when MTV was SRV, the Dead where the one's playing stadiums; jazz, big band, and classical where still alive and strong, and people like 50 cent, Swift, and Bieber didn't exist.

Rap is not music, it's prose spoken in rhythm. Sometimes it's set to something resembling 'music', but tends to lack the harmony and melody to really call it music. That said, I'm not critical of some of the old school rap. Modern rap though... cookie cutter 'music', terrible lyrics, message of little value, no melody, and no vocal skill to speak of. It's like watching replacement refs...

As for pop, Jackson arguably created pop music and he wrote, produced, and did everything. Pop music today is much different. It's a commodity product designed to maximize sales, it's not an the art form that it once was. Big difference.
