Brady is certainly a bit more of a diva than he used to be. I don’t think that’s really debatable. As Kontra suggests, a big part of that has been driven by media attention, and a big part of that probably just comes from winning so much.

I don’t think any of us care as long as he stays, but if this is how he leaves, I can understand why some may feel how it could’ve been handled a bit differently.

The winning for sure. I am always amazed that he is not a diva MORE like Lebron for example.

He took one picture in order to drum up interest in a product he was selling. Other than that, what has Brady done to be called a troll?

LeDiva has been coddled and told hes been the Chosen One since he was 10 years old.

No one ever gave anything to Tom that he didn't earn.

I think that is the main reason.

If a team like the Chargers is bringing in a Tom Brady, you can be sure that they're looking to improve their OL as well.

He got old. A lot of age discrimination going on lately.

I'm surprisingly calm for a former redhead about the Brady situation. I see 75% odds he'll re-sign with the Pats. Inshallah.
And if not, it is what it is.

How will they do that? Rely on a bunch of rookie draft picks? That’s a risky proposition.

There’s only so much FA OL talent to go around. Thuney would help, but even then they’d still have multiple holes on that line.

He’s done some stuff to fan the flames, such as going on the LAC page and liking the post where the Chargers were moving on from Rivers, etc. There was no doubt that he was trying to create a buzz and gain attention.

He seems to be enjoying the process, so more power to him. My only argument is that he’s become more of a diva as he’s gotten older, although he justifies some of that by continuing to win and that’s what’s important.

I wonder if he’s had trouble connecting with teammates and the game in general at his age. I mean, most of these guys are literally 15-20 years younger than him. Must be a strange working atmosphere, and now Edelman is the only remaining long-time teammate. I think some of his “diva” behavior might emanate from that divide.

They've got money, and draft capital, to make moves.

    • They've got Okung and Pouncey to build around on the OL.
    • They've got $50m in cap right now, and not a lot of defensive talent that needs to be brought back at a cost. They can use that money for the QB, RB, TE, and OL positions.
    • They've also got candidates for cap hit lowering extensions (i.e. Bosa, Ingram).
    • They pick 6th, meaning they can invest in a top OL prospect, if they choose.

I’m definitely not ready to move on as he gives our team the best chance to win, but I can certainly understand why some would feel that his actions regarding staying or leaving have become a bit “Gronk-like.”

On one hand, I can respect the fact that he’s trying to drum up interest, but on the other hand, I can get why some would’ve liked to see him handle the situation behind the scenes. Either way, I don’t know that there’s a right or wrong answer. It’s just a matter of personal preference in a discussion on a messageboard.

I’m not really sure what this is supposed to mean, but if you’re looking for instances as to how Brady has trolled people in regards to whether he’s staying or leaving New England, there are at least a few prime examples. I don’t see how age has anything to do with it, and this is the first time that I’m hearing this suggestion.
