Ouch, Floyd torched this defense. The Chargers big receivers giving our dbs problems. Well it's tied up. And it's brewing to be a shootout so far.

You're right. I knew it was going to be a problem. We've got to get to Rivers. We're getting close, but we need to finish.

The thing concerning me is how often and easily the defense gives up large chunks. It's still a small sample size, but 22 of 70 plays allowed over 10 yards last week, and already some big plus 10 plays.

What more could McCourty have done other than grow six inches on that play? He blew it on the Jackson catch, but that one was good coverage and a brilliant catch.

McCourty had a chance to make the play. Let's not make excuses for him.

the 3rd and 5 that resulted in the 23 yard gain to Floyd (where there was 3 Patriots around him), IMHO, was an incomplete pass. If you watch the replay the Patriot defender (just as floyd hits the ground) yanks the ball and causes it to move around and touch the ground.

That was NOT bad pass coverage. Those where great throws and spectacular catches. If they are going to live by that sword they will die by it. What I AM concerned about is the success SD is having in the running game

The LT let Carter shoot up field and he wasn't disciplined enough to set his edge.

Actually, their coverage has been pretty good. They just aren't making plays on the ball, and it's because these receivers are ~6'5" and have major ups

Let's not make it sound like he was three steps behind Jackson. Most CBs would have gotten burnt on that play.

We can have Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White,Wilfork, Haynesworth and Clay Matthews.

But as long as Mc Courty, Devin ******* McCourty is our best DB, thats our defense

Yeah, how dare he not be 5 inches taller.......... Dude.... Get real, that last catch was pretty much undefendable from a DB perspective.
