Steelers might have lost more than the game: Pouncey and Foote may be headed to IR

I don't feel bad for the steelers at all. Can't think of a fanbase that deserves this more.

OT: Steelers might have lost more than the game

Far worse than getting rolled on:

That was awful! Did pouncey sleep with that dude's wife?

Same here. I can respect a player and his abilities, especially someone like Pouncey. But for the Steelers & Steeler Nation? I'm sorry, but my giveadamn's busted.

Like this?

I realize not all Steeler fans are morons. But all their idiot fans who crack jokes at "Belicheat" can watch their "genius" coach fail to field a legit contender for a 3rd straight season now. BB is constantly dealing with FA and replacing aged vets since 2004 and the Patriots are still contending every year. Go ahead and poke fun at BB whenever he loses in the playoffs, at least he ****ing gets there year in year out under the same conditions their beloved Steelers are experiencing now. Even Cowher, who may be as good as any coach not named Belicheck over the last 20 years, had his share of down years.

And yeah, don't even get me started on the people who made the Pollard shirt.

Let's give them Blount for a 3rd rounder!!!!!!

am I the only one who is sick of having a ton of picksfor the future years when you can have a good player now

Well, we did trade up 2x in the first round last spring to take 2 important positions in the front seven so that was the most current example of using all of the allotted draft picks and not trading them into the future.

I'm not sure what "future picks" you are currently referring to at the moment because there aren't any, but I assume that you're speaking of past seasons.

Keep in mind that one of the biggest reasons why we consistently remain competitive every year is because Belichick tries to field the best team that he can for the present, while also planning ahead for the future. That has been a huge benefit for this organization.

That's a great point. DeCastro was going to wreck someone's knee on that play.

That TN defensive lineman is fortunate that DeCastro's aim was off and he took out Pouncey instead.

Lets take a moment to remember that DeCastro was the first round pick selected just before Hightower. And that he missed his first season due to injury. Taking out his teammate is his first career accomplishment.

It really looks like he aimed for Pounceys leg from the gif. He isn't even close to hitting the DL.

No sympathy for obnoxious Steeler fans. Hope the players heal & resume their careers.

It won't be remembered like the buttfumble or Leon Lett, but when you think about it, this should really rank among the worst plays in NFL history.

On a side note, the Pats seemed to have drawn the AFC North at the right year. No one in the AFC North look all that impressive this week. I wasn't expecting much from Pittsburgh this season and these injuries are huge. The Ravens are a mess (granted they have plenty of time to pull it all together before they play the Pats in December). Cincy wasn't all that impressive yesterday and Andy Dalton is looking to be their week link. Cleveland is Cleveland.

I think they could a far weaker division than anyone expected.

Also, I should point out that that's a penalty even if he does that to the defender. Can't go low on a guy who is engaged. Just an all-around stupid play by DeCastro.

Abysmal. It's the worst play I've ever seen. He just lost his team 2 or 3 games in a single play.

Now, that's a first-round bust in the making. Out for the season with an injury in year one, taking out somebody twice as valuable in year two. Ras-I in the second round is looking like a bargain in comparison.

#1. That giveadamn gif was pretty damn funny.

#2. I hate seeing injuries. And that looked extremely deliberate. To the point where an apology would make me whoop your azzzz.

I keep thinking about it...plenty of players have accidentally taken out a teammate. (Paging Stephen Neal!) But I can't ever remember a guy taking a helmet-first dive straight at a teammate's knee -- a play that looked deliberate and dirty, but toward the wrong laundry. Crazy.

Yep, I thought the exact same thing. The Steelers have a history of going for the opponent's knees, and the technique that they do it with it is textbook from several martial arts, it's almost enough to make you think the organization actually teaches them to do it

I say the NFL should add insult to literal injury and fine DeCastro.
