Saints vs Vikings Game Discussion

I feel bad for saints fans. That has to be such a painful way to lose. All you gotta do is make a tackle and your team is in the NFC championship game.
Agreed. I'm not sure what the Saints cap situation is like, but with some signings and improvement from several of their already great rookies, they should be back in the final 4. Long wait though.

Our good ole buddy mike westhoff should have had his kicker kick the ball short of the end zone....

I compare that to Red Sox in '86 with Stanley/Gedman and Buckner and a World Series victory slipping away......
Takes a long time to get over.... what was the line from Pulp Fiction when Brice Willis asks Ving Rhames if he was ok???

3:25 mark pretty... far from ok

I hope Pherein didn’t off himself. I really like the guy.
Thanks lol no Im going to get stinking drunk, and rant to my dog, 2010,2011,2013, and now 2017 D decides to lose the game with less than 60 secs on the clock after Brees rips them up and wins the game, I feel sorry for Brees NO D ruined his legacy.
We are used to it.

I guess that's why BB is so crazy about teaching situational football. Apparently that safety is a good player too, but the Saints probably would've been better off with a guy much worse but able to do the sensible thing in that critical moment.

He wasn't answering questions. He spent a long time just posing, back to the camera, facing the camera, flexing, making his face. I haven't got anything about celebrating, but when you're still posing for superhero pictures 15 minutes after the game ended, it's a bit much.

Disagree completely. Could he be more couth, sure, should he be thrilled to pull that game out, absolutely.

If he kept doing it while the game was still on that would be one thing, but enjoying it as an ending is unique imo.

43 was probably traumatized by the flags all game. He passed out, after the ball was caught. It was over once Diggs caught it. They only needed a FG to win, and likely would've made it from that spot, if he were tackled after the catch.

It sucks, but it's reality.

that was crazy. Actually called that play and said “just to try to win it right here, forget the fg.

Also, what on earth was #43 doing?

zimmer seems like a dink..said at presser that they practice that play every week.

clock would have run out..just needed to make the tackle

Sorry NO lost in such a heartbreaking way. I thought they were going to pull it off.

The single worst safety play in football history. At any level. When a mere tackle would have ended the game, he literally ducked out of the way and then dove even further out of the play, taking a teammate out in the process. Unreal.

Someone needs to take young Diggs aside and teach him that demonstrating humility in victory is classier than puffing his chest and crossing his arms.

No ****. Friggan the next Rod Tidwell

You guys need to do some reminiscing and look back on your lives and figure out the exact moment you all became Grandpas.

if im a saints fan im killing myself. man what a way to lose a game.

IMHO reminiscent of the little crossing route in Pitt that the Patriots allowed to be a 70 yard gain and almost cost us HFA. It happens but I'll never understand this one tonight. Rush 3, have numerous DBs deep, you almost cant lose. Yet this WR is that open and only needs to beat one guy deeper than him? I don't get it.

Brees did, the D never got the memo, they knocked Brees out of the playoffs 4x including today with 17 sec left, SF I think it was 30, and Seattle like 43 sec, and D just allow a huge 7pt TD for 80 yards everytime, I think Brees is getting tired of this and saw it coming that's why he was walking the sidelines with helmet still on, he has no confidence in the D anymore.
