Rumor: Pats interested in Josh Rosen?

With an obvious need for a developmental QB behind Tom Brady, the #Patriots have quietly been conducting private workouts leading up to the draft. Among those on the list: Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta and Washington State’s Luke Falk, per sources. Both potential Day 2 picks.

As @RapSheet has reported previously, #Patriots have worked out Mason Rudolph and Mike White too ... so they have that second/third tier of QBs pretty well covered.

I want Rosen.

I want Rosen.

My 2cents (decending order):

- Luke Faulk (2nd or 3rd round)
- Kyle Lauletta (2nd or 3rd round)
- Mason Rudolph (2nd round)

All three does not have a howitzer-arm. That said, they are ranked based on accuracy, %-completions, patience in the pocket (wait for something to develop), QB-IQ pertaining to "mismatches" and "2nd-3rd read options", and the ability to learn...

I definitely prefer NOT to waste 1st-round picks for a QB.

I don't believe that I've told anyone this yet, but I really wouldn't mind seeing Baker Mayfield in a Pats uniform.

If the Pats really see Rosen as worth giving up much of this and next year's draft for, they'd have to move up to at least #2. It doesn't do any good to move up to #4 and hope he's there at that point. What would the Giants want for that pick?

Somebody get this get a uniform. Any uniform!

(Who are the PR people who think these photoshoots are good ideas?)

I actually wonder if the team drafts a QB high and double-dips again later with a guy like Lauletta. Would be risky to dump Hoyer with a rookie(s) as your backup QB, but it would probably pay dividends in a year with the fact that you’d get a really good competition between two guys looking to be “The Heir”, and if they both look pretty good then you can flip one for a second in the future like they did Jimmy.

I'd take a late Flier on Kyle Allen late in the draft was a backup but 70 percent completion rate him or Chad Kanoff.

This, plus the Rudolph reports....throwing poop against the wall. As always, nobody knows and the Pats like it that way. I’d love to know how many of these reports are planted by the Pats, to confuse other teams. I personally believe that BB and Caserio are primed to trade into the 9-15 range IF the “right person” drops, whoever the hell that is in their minds.

You can choose Rosen or Kate Upton. Only one. Go.

Rosen. I prefer brunettes and brains and gravity will not be kind to Mrs. Verlander. On the other hand, Jaime Chung vs Rosen.....
