Rodgers to sign 4 yr/134 Mil extension

I think this will cap the QB market for a while. Hard to justify paying almost any other QB more than 29.1M a year for the next few years.

This could help us with Brady beyond 2020 if he continues to play......

I don’t want to hear anymore complaining from Rodgers or the media defending him for his playoff failures. If he thought his team was lacking talent then, he’s in for a rude awakening now. Enjoy your money.

Teams win Super Bowls with elite players at the QB position, even when those players are getting paid high end money.

The most money? That's different.

Brady gets 5 mil and has to earn them in incentives Rodgers gets 134 mil. Haha.

That's 1.8 million a game!!!

He should at least play both ways for that kind of money!

Hey, good for him, he has a perishable skill and he is cashing in on it before he loses it.

Who's number 2?
Issa joke but Drew Brees might be the most under-rated QB in the last 30 years.

In all seriousness GB isn't going anywhere w/out him.

Life after Bill/Tom gone be tough on a lot of NE fans ... If they stay longer than a few hours after their gone.

We have to take a step back sometimes and look at our unique situation. Star QBs like Rodgers may win one or two Super Bowls getting that kind of money. And obviously that's more than enough for a lot of teams. But we're lucky to have 18 years of sustained success and 8 appearances with 5 victories because not only did we have the GOAT at QB, he didn't come at an all-time price. After 18 years that might start to seem like it should be the norm but it's far from it

Not really. It's just an excuse to isolate.

Brady
Peyton
Eli
Roethlisberger
Rodgers
Brees

have all won after getting paid.

He will be in the conversation of at least top 5 after the season ends. He probably won’t have monster numbers due to a lack of firepower on offense but he will find ways to put them in a position to win.

Yal are wild. I like JG. Like reaaally like JG. But we'll see how he does with a full season of film out on him.
He’ll be fine as most defenses are conservative letting QB’s do whatever they want. He’s a smart player and doesn’t get rattled at defenders when in his face.

If Goff can telegraph every pass and have a good year, so can JAG.
