Just because a QB is polished coming out of college doesn't mean they develop into a top 10 QB. Mac has a ways to go physically and with his overall game.Mike McDaniel Kevin o Connell, would love to bring on Joe Brady
Mac was a very polished QB before he met Mcdaniels.
I don’t think this will break him.
This isn’t like we got a guy with little to no football IQ who needs to learn the game.
This just means Bill will be more hands on with Mac if he doesn’t 100 percent trust Josh’s replacement.
This also means Josh wasn’t the heir to the throne if he does leave.
This isn't a matter of Mac breaking. It's not the end of the world however it's a matter of continuing to further his development. Josh is in a great position to do that. Now that is jeopardized by swapping another OC in. Takes time to develop chemistry if at all.
I don't want Bill more hands on with the offense and Mac. He needs to get the D right and have the freedom to fix problem areas like STs
I couldn't care less if he was the heir.
Would Charlie leaving after 2001 been good for Tom?I’d rather Mac changes OCs now vs two or three years from now. He’s young and green enough to hit the reset button, and this team isn’t winning the SB next year anyway.
This is assuming that the next guy is competent. And that the next guy sticks around for several years.
Chemistry is key. We'll see how this shakes out.
