This roster is a 4-6 win team. Mayo is a first year HC without being known for really anything during his time in NE and has average assistant coaches. The X's and O's are going to take a massive hit without Bill around. And they have one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL.

Some Pats fans are going through that vicious cycle of thinking the team is better than they really are compared to the rest of the NFL. Many on here thought they were going to be a playoff team last offseason (for some weird reason), but were hit with the rude awakening of how bad they are.

Well speaking for myself. this pats fan is comparing this patriots team to the last 2 seasons.

Upgraded at the most important position on the field. Upgraded at WR either polk& baker. KJ.

Defense is coming back stronger and having guys back that got hurt.

Mayo is rookie HC not rookie coach. The relationship was fractured with Mac and Bill. They both are the reason neither are still here. Call me the ultimate optimistic fan but I do not see them worse than the last 2 seasons.

Agreed. Only a couple of things.

+ On DC. Continuity on the defensive coaching aspect as he was with the team Last 7 seasons coaching in the defense.

On game day preparation is a toss up because the last 2 seasons that preparation didn't fare well.

People have forgotten our defense was elite last year and will be gaining pieces back from injury.

Our offense almost has to be better than last year. While our schedule is really tough, our defense will be stout, and our offense will actually put up points this year. Minimum of 8 wins.
