Dude...

Just caught that.. lol

Rodgers at age 40 coming back from a serious injury, has to go against our front 7.. gonzo locked up Wilson last time and will do it again.
Rodgers is showing no signs of injury.

Hes a QB anyway so it's not like a RB or WR coming back.

At age 40.. He's coming off a serious injury. Our defense will force him to check down.. he's not beating us deep. He won't have all day to drop back.. when he does barmore will be In his face mask..

It's the 3rd choice down. 6-7 wins. Due to poll limitations the choices for win total are not as exact as we want.

I feel good about my prediction. This team is an unknown /uncertainty to the NFL world.. so I believe it favors them.

Alright time for some serious math.

4 wins last year
+3 from qb change
+ 1 from more stable o-line
+ 1 from either/both Polk/Baker improving the WR room
+ 2 from Gonzo and Judon coming back
- 1 from new injuries that will happen
- 3 gameday and preparation dropoff from BB to rookie Mayo
- 1 rookie DC
+ 1 offense no longer run by bozos

7 wins
I may have to go back and re-calculate using the Bozos Co-efficient. I'm hoping you are correct. The coaching staff has yet to collectively coach an NFL game, so the Bozos Co-efficient is the great unknown. The only place where the Bozos Co-efficient is not only a constant but a way of life is on the Jets sideline where no matter how good the roster the Bozos Co-efficient produces a Minus 8 wins result. But that is for a different thread.

8-9. A little bit optimistic but the defense is really good, and I don’t see the offense killing them the way they did last season, and I’m hopeful they will pull out some wins in the close games.

Absolutely agree. I'm in the same ball park. Fans wanted to upgrade at the QB position and we've done that. We know what we will get each down from the D.. the offense needs to dictate games and not let defenses dictate to them..

Hes not Zach Wilson.

This roster is a 4-6 win team. Mayo is a first year HC without being known for really anything during his time in NE and has average assistant coaches. The X's and O's are going to take a massive hit without Bill around. And they have one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL.

Some Pats fans are going through that vicious cycle of thinking the team is better than they really are compared to the rest of the NFL. Many on here thought they were going to be a playoff team last offseason (for some weird reason), but were hit with the rude awakening of how bad they are.
Yes, it was rude awakening, but that team is no more.

Drake Maye's first start "if he's ready" should be against the Cardinals after the bye week. Pats win 6 games which should get them a top 8 pick in the draft.

The team gets off to a 1-5 start. Things look very 2023 offensively.

The offense starts coming together when they hit the soft spot (ie. AFC south) of the schedule, and the team looks competitive, albiet outclassed, during a 3 game losing streak against the Jets, Bears and Fins.

Maye makes his debut after the bye. The team is 4-9. He looks like the second coming against the Cardinals, then gets embarrassed in Buffalo. He leads a 4th quarter comeback win over the Chargers, then knocks the Bills out of the playoffs week 18.

The team finishes 7-10, and enters the off-season looking like an emerging contender

As for the rest of the division...the Jets start 9-1 but stumble in December. They win the division and the 3 seed, but are embarrassed by Pittsburgh in the wild card round. The Dolphins do Dolphin things, starting 5-0 but missing the playoffs after a December collapse. The Bills start slow, go on a late season run, enter week 18 as the 6 seed, lose to the last place Patriots and miss the playoffs

I agree with a 1-5 start to the season (@Cin, Sea, @Jets, @SF, Mia, Hou).

I see us going 3-1 the last 4 games @AZ, @Buf, LAC, and Buf.

For the middle 7 games, 4 wins vs JAX (in London), Jets, @TN, @Chi,, Rams, @Mia, Indy.

That would total 8 wins. Possible games where Maye could take over: w7 vs Jax in London, w11 vs Rams, w13 v Indy,

I just want them picking top 5 again next year. I also want Maye to sit until the O-Line jells some. I like the two WR they added but they are rookies with a journeyman throwing them the ball. The team should be more competitive, but I just don't see enough improvement to see it reflected in the win total

I see your point.. but you really don't want them in the top 5 next year.. what you want is the team to show progress... win some games and compete.. FAs will take notice and NE will become a destination again. Drake's development is essential. He's the priority.

yes I do, the team needs top end talent. You draft guys like Maye, Harrison etc when you are at the top. I want them to be competitive in the loses, that is all.

Great point!

Getting a free agent or two because the team starts winning is more important than having high draft picks and continuing to lose/
