Cannon. don't laugh, we got a draft pick for Brandon Gorin.
I'm not sure why folks are so excited about moving Cannon, and having Fleming and Waddle as our backups. I suspect Scar and Bill have other ideas.

Never trade a player you can use, unless it's to free up money for another. why would you do that? It's like playing the lottery instead of investing.

Because Cannon sucks ass. Not saying Fleming or Waddle don't, but Cannon has been downright miserable for two seasons now... and he didn't look particularly good on Thursday night. We have a real problem at that backup T spot, regardless of who we're talking about sadly.

With such a deep and talented and young team.. there has to be some though to trading some these players.

Give me your top 3 potential tradeable players.

1. Logan Ryan - SOOO much depth and talent at CB

2. Duron Harmon

3. Bryan Stork - Dave Andrews

Honorable Mention - Aaron Dobson / Clay Harbor /

1. Possible and remember that last year after not resinging Revis and Browner we had none proven CB.
2. If Mcourty goes down who do u got as free safety. Harmon is so undervalued. Jordan Richards is more strong safety and he kind of suck/not atlethic enough for NFL, hope that i am wrong. Dont like him
3. 7rd pick? Dont think that they would get more.

That's why Logan Ryan isn't going anywhere. That's the one that makes me scratch my head. Having bodies at a position doesn't always necessarily mean you're rich at the position.

I'd like to see Cannon coached by Scar again. I know he sucked in 2014 and 2015 but in 2013 when Vollmer broke his leg he did well.

It is a make or break season for him here.

Lots of hate for Cannon here, but he was reportedly playing with an injured toe last year, has been getting good reviews this year, and is currently your starting RT. His position on the roster looks pretty secure to me.

Yes- he did injure his toe. Missed a few games IIRC

Anybody could be traded if it is for another player. Then, you're just trading someone you'd have to cut because you have a surplus for someone else who be cut because the other team has a surplus.

Teams hate to give up picks when they think they can get the player for free. Sometimes it's dumb not to. The Saints wouldn't trade for Brandon Browner because the Patriots were going to cut him. If they'd offered to trade a 6th for Browner and a 7th, they'd have saved that signing bonus money they had to give him.

I can't disagree with that, buddy. The only way it seems we will know is if one of the T's goes down again. I'm hoping that doesn't happen, though it seems almost a seasonal guarantee with Vollmer unfortunately.

I hear you on 2015 somewhat, as he was battling the toe. His performance wasn't much better before the toe or in 2014 though. It's not just sacks and QB hits either. He's far and away the worst when it comes to false starts as well.

And as far as TC, and I'm not being sarcastic, but can you post the good reports you've seen? I'd be interested to read them, considering I've not seen them. I believe @ashley1992 may have even posted one or two tweets that indicated he was still struggling, in fact. If it wasn't you, Ashley, please forgive me.

I started writing up a Pats Picker post that proposed a Trey Flowers for Darren McFadden trade.

After the Ninkovich injury and Flowers' big game, I may need to go delete that saved draft and start over.

Is he still on a roster?

Marcus Cannon was surprisingly good, one of most consistent lineman in this game. I was shocked.

I'm thinking that they'll be using the swing tackle for rotational reps again, particularly on the right side, so unless they'd play Waddle there, Cannon is going to sink or swim fairly quickly.

In other words, cross your fingers and your toes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them move Alan Branch, it would give them @ 2 million in cap savings. He hits like a truck and can clog up the middle, something any team could use.

Still love the idea of acquiring McFadden, though.
