Patriots Player Departure Pats trade Sony Michel to LAR

Sony had a lot of productive stretches for this team. When he was at his best I thought he was very good, but at his worst he was a guy who wouldn't break tackles and couldn't run away from anyway. A lot of the time Sony was playing for the Pats he would need absolutely perfect blocking to gain any yards. It seems like his apex was in college and he steadily got worse from then on. His best stretch as a Patriot helped the team win a title that I don't think they would have otherwise won.

I appreciate how Sony brought back a 4th round pick. With Stevenson looking like the heir apparent it was great value to get a 4th for Sony who obviously wasn't in the teams long term plans. People on here are going to be absolutely giddy if the Pats can move on from Harry for picks too. Belichick should just avoid drafting skill position players in the 1st round, but overall he has drafted a lot of very good players.

Not horrible value but not overly thrilled with it either. I just hope the new guys are as good as they're getting hyped to be in pre-season, then it won't matter and was the right call.

When trading a RB, this is about as good as you're going to get back.

Bolden is 31 and hasn't played since 2019. He really only brings STs value now.

Yes he sat out last year. But i can remember him making a few plays on offense when he was out there last and he looked pretty effective as a rb still. Not saying hes a feature back or anything but im totally fine with him getting some touches now and then if there’s injuries.

When trading a RB, this is about as good as you're going to get back.

Assuming it becomes the 4th rounder...yes, but I'm not really sure how guaranteed that is? So I'm viewing it as a 5th n 6th tbh.

He was drafted way too high, but I thought he was pretty solid overall. I thought he looked really good this past year considering the limited reps he had (maybe Harris fueled his competitive fire?). Happy with the 4th rounder all things considered.

I am elated that we spent not one 1 but 2 ones on two skill players who turned out to be busts. I will be doing flips literally if we can get a 6 for Harry.
