Patricia is working with the OL this year

Matty P is the OL coach. I do not remember the OL coach ever calling the offensive plays. Judge is the QB coach and I think Josh McD was the QB coach as well? Not sure about Reiss' source (I have no sources), but I highly doubt the O Line coach will be calling plays.
Bo Hardeman (sp?) was the QB coach last season. In 2020, it was the guy who’s now the HC at U of Arizona.

Its not a lack of football knowledge. It is very deliberate and it is very much an anti-Patriot agenda.
So being a Patriots fan necessitates unconditional support for everything the team does? It's not a reach at all to question if Patricia or Judge are the best choices for offensive play-calling. Neither has done it before or had a sustained prominent role with an offense... other than whatever oversight they had over horribly bad offenses as head coaches. These weak attempts at shaming people into supporting anything the team does are lame.

Unconditional? No.

are you actually claiming to be a Patriots fan?

You literally spend multiple posts claiming Daniel Jones is a good qb just to tear down joe judge. Stuff like that signals an agenda to me...

Who do you suggest they should have assigned to lead their offense?

What agenda would that be? I was reflecting recent history... Daniel Jones had outstanding games as a rookie... 3 games with 300+ passing yards and 4+ TDs and no INTs. He surpassed 300 passing yards 5 times in his rookie season. After Judge became his head coach, in 2 seasons with 25 starts, Jones surpassed 300 passing yards once and he never threw more than 2 passing TDs in a game... I'm drawing the conclusion that Judge ruined a quarterback after he had had a promising rookie season. I'd prefer the same thing not happen in New England. So I suppose that's my agenda... I want Mac Jones put in the best possible situation for success.

I've been going to nearly every single home game since I was 6. I haven't been doing that because I hate the team and I want them to suck.

Who do you suggest they should have assigned to lead their offense?
They should have made a hard push on getting O'Brien back. Can Matt Campbell be pried away from Iowa State? Mike Kafka, hired by Daboll to be the OC for NYG, we should have gone after him.

Cherry picking games to make a point makes less of a point than you presume.

And been going to games since you were 6? That great. What does that have to do with anything besides someone in your family is a sth?

The anti patriots screeds you lay down are constant and unrelenting. Everything framed in a negative light. Every coach disparaged, every player marginalized...

Say it once and spare us the same tired song and dance routine... But the fact that it's repeated over and over...

BOB and Campbell, 2 of the 3 choices, were not available. Campbell has turned down NFL jobs before, so it's possible he'd only move up for a good HC opportunity.

And Kafka, while I'm sure is full of potential, is only 34, hasn't been a offensive coordinator, and the bulk of his experience is holding the "passing game coordinator" title for Mahomes/Hill/Kelce the past 3 seasons. You might feel quite differently about him after he coaches Daniel Jones a couple of seasons.

I guess my point is the perfect coordinator for the Pats just wasn't available. Or maybe Judge surprises. Next man up applies to coaches too.

Interesting listening to Zo today talk about the coaching staff and lack of titles. He explained how the line of communication works and talks about who he and Bledsoe would go to for certain questions before going to the OC or Head Coach. He doesn't really get why the Pats are being so secretive with who is doing what. What's the point of hiding things? There's no tape out there on Judge or Patricia calling offensive plays. On yesterdays show they mentioned they heard that last year some players weren't sure who to go to. Zo also said there's no way this would be going on if Brady was here.

Now you’ve done it. Thread derailment in 3….2….1….

What does that even mean? If Brady were still on the Pats he would demand that Bill publicly declare the true roles for each coach? Alcohol is starting to pickle Zo’s brain.

Thread derailment? All I did is mention what the teams colour commentator and ex player said on his radio show. Zo is a Pats homer and rarely ever says anything negative. He basically said because Mac is young and doesn’t have much clout they can get away with this. With Brady it wouldn’t happen.

I really don’t see why this upsets you so much. It’s a relevant discussion on what’s happening with the team. We’re not supposed to post what guys connected to the team are saying? You just want an echo chamber of people who are firmly in agreement with whatever position you take?

You wrote BRADYin your post. That triggers patsfans nowadays.

Seems to me this no title thing has been going on for years. A coach is moved kind of into a roll but not officially called that. My guess is they feel it shields that coach from idiots like the posters above who immediately call for the firing of whichever coordinator is leading whichever group might be struggling. It also probably accurately reflects the fact that rather than one person being completely responsible for the offense or defense it is a collaborative effort among multiple coaches, with the “buck” stopping at Bill. It makes a lot of sense from many levels as far as a management strategy goes.

My guess is most teams don’t use it because it gives head coaches a fall guy when their offense or defense sucks, so they get to fire whichever coordinator’s group sucks rather than let the blame fall on them and get themselves fired. Which is a very 1950’s /1960’s management style.

I was joking. Sorry that you didn’t catch that.

Not really... being outstanding in 33% of your rookie starts is not cherry-picking... it's promising at the very least. 0% of that promise was met once Judge became the head coach.

And been going to games since you were 6? That great. What does that have to do with anything besides someone in your family is a sth?
I'm answering your dumb question... am I a fan? You were going to dump on anything I said anyway. It doesn't matter, I don't care if you're a "real" fan or not. I'm only responding to the content of your post... I can't keep track of who reads like a fan or not on any consistent basis.

The anti patriots screeds you lay down are constant and unrelenting. Everything framed in a negative light. Every coach disparaged, every player marginalized...
However you want to characterize it.

The team won 6 Super Bowls in an 18 season stretch... there's a lot to be positive about in there... and there are many former players that I have great respect for... Law, McGinest, Bruschi, Vrabel, Harrison, Brady, Brown, Branch, Faulk, Dillon, Moss, Welker, Edelman, Amendola, Gronkowski, Hernandez (the player obviously), Lewis, White, Hightower. Current players I really like... Stevenson, Bourne, Dugger... overall they're not an unlikeable team, I just don't see them currently stacking up with the better teams in the AFC and I wish they had done more to improve the roster. I don't like the 2022 draft class, sorry, you want me to lie about it? I don't like the makeup of the coaching staff either... seems like a jumbled mess with possibly a couple of assistant coaches in entirely the wrong spot. Just my opinion.

I giving you names off the top of my head. I'm sure they are others to talk about with a little research. I think Kafka and Daboll will get that NYG offense ranked somewhere in the 15th-20th range, which will be a huge improvement. I also think they will get a good season out of Daniel Jones.

it is cherry picking. Hey great, 33% of his games were great! when 50% of those came against the unmanned 3-13 redskins...

And sure I'm going to dump on your answer, because you didn't answer. Its a simple Y N type variety.

And lastly, my dumb question? You replied to a statement I made to another poster - I never replied to your posts, never made one comment about you... yet you feel the need to call me out about it? Why? I literally stated that there are posters here with an anti-Patriot/anti-BB agenda here... and we both know that there are...

Funny how you though i was talking about you. Whatever on earth could have given me that idea? Considering you are a fan of the team, no? this goes way beyond you not liking the coaching staff or this years draft picks... You were making posts like that all last year as well... Never missed a chance to take a shot, did you?

That's cool. I'm also not a huge fan of having Judge & Patricia as the offensive braintrust right now. Still, as with every choice, you gotta consider the alternatives. And there didn't appear to be any options that were A) Available, B) Clear cut better options, and C) System fits.

I'll give J & P the benefit of the doubt that they went and took their lumps (as first-time HCs on bad teams often do), and came back wiser and more knowledgeable about all aspects of coaching.

It's a dumb-type question. Is there anyone who posts on this forum regularly who isn't a Patriots fan? I don't mean they don't put Belichick on a pedestal either... I mean they literally don't like the team, resent the dynasty, and actively root for them to lose.

If you were reading the flow of the posts... connecting the dots... then you'd realize your anti-Patriots comment was aimed at me included. You're bringing up all the occasions now (where I merely and legitimately questioned the team) but you essentially said that questioning the new roles for Patricia and Judge were part of an anti-Patriots agenda. Do you think perhaps it's possible that someone can support the team (i.e. be a fan) yet still question or be critical of a team decision?

Yeah, I am bringing it up because I am tired of reading the same negative posts ad nauseam. Its been going on for two years now...

Be critical. Make a point that matters.

Instead of just criticizing them you make deliberately provocative posts by framing your posts in a very intentional manner. "Failed head coach this, failed head coach that" ...

Yet you seem shocked when it gets called out.

Its trolling for a reaction. Congratulations, you won, I reacted. Whats your endgame Craw? You want to be free to post what you want, yet you are unwilling to accord me the same courtesy?

You want me to believe you are a fan of this team? How about acting like one every once in a while instead of spreading more and more misery and negativity around.
