OT: Your Favorite Christmas Songs

Posted this in another thread somewhere, but this really is my favorite.

His face when he says "an ill reindeer" makes the video.

Back in the mid 80's every party I went to had at least a few DMC tunes playing.

My stepfather used to sing this at the top of his lungs after dowing a case of Iron City beer. One of my most cherished Christmas memories...

Adolph the Amber-Assed Antelope

Adolph the amber-assed antelope,
Had a very shiny ass,
And if you ever saw it,
You would say it shone like brass.
All of the other antelope,
Used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Adolph
Join in any antelope games.

Then one foggy Christmas eve,
Santa came to say,
“Adolph, with your ass so bright,
Won’t you be my backup light?”
Then all the antelope loved him,
As they shouted out with glee,
“Adolph, the amber-assed antelope,
You’ll go down in history!”

I'm a big fan of Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg....

But I don't know who sang it

I remember singing it in the 60's.

I did a little research and apparently the actual song was invented by a Medfah man in 1850. It was originally intended to be a Thanksgiving song.

The origin of the joke songs was researched by a couple of men over the years and the earliest they can document it was 1950.

The Secret True History Of 'Jingle Bells, Batman Smells'

I can't stop laughing. I need to watch South Park more often.
Some great lines but this one got me going for some reason...
"it might happen in a couple months or 50 years from now"

Don't you tell me this isn't a Christmas song, it makes me feel jolly as Hell.

Ok ok maybe I just need an excuse to plug this in somewhere.

Some great ones on the list of classics already. I don't like most modern stuff and I actually dislike a number of songs on their Christmas Albums that I got my wife but I like these two, a little different with some classic flair (Pentatonix):

Their Christmas special was awesome.

Originally done by the Dogmatics.

This gets no airplay and it should.

A real oldie.

Adeste Fideles (Latin only!)
Oh Holy Night
Little Drummer Boy

And the all time classic, "There's no Place like Playoffs for the Holidays"

Some of my favorites:

Let all mortal flesh keep silence - musically beautiful hymn

Bowie and Crosby Drummer boy/Peace on earth

John Lennon Happy Christmas

Love the Mariah Carey All I want for Christmas, referenced earlier.
