NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OT: Week 3 games around the league

I remember how we all had to hear for years about how Brady’s defense carried him so much

Meanwhile Mahomes and KC have went 13 (technically 12 since they rested starters in one) straight games without scoring 30 points
He's looked off, but 9 wins in a row is not by accident.

So, what is it? #1 pick or playoffs? I'm confused...
It's develop and evaluate the roster as it stands. Based on objective evaluation to this point, far too many players are unworthy of development. That's the cloud. The silver lining is a high draft pick. Would I have preferred a sunnier outcome? Sure. But you and I both know that was NEVER in the cards. This is a lousy team ill-served by a lousy GM/player development staff. If you choose to regard it otherwise, be prepared for another high draft pick after next year. I hope that clears up your confusion.

Love how the broadcast talks about Stroud’s no-int streak… then he throws one on his 2nd pass of the game
Scoring seems to be on a low this season.. NOs was brought down to earth. 22-17 Chiefs win..

the ref bias for the chiefs is making the nfl unwatchable.
I’ve always pretty much hated ref talk, but at a certain point with this team it becomes stupid to deny it. It’s just a few calls here and there, but usually at the most important moments, including AFC championship games and Super Bowls. At this point it’s definitely a very real tangible thing that has to be overcome.

Atlanta sh*t their pants...they should have done a QB push...if kirk cousins isn't comfortable the. Send Penix in...
So you’re saying they need to run a “tush push” with “penix”? That concept sounds like it might just work

I’ve accepted that KC isn’t just getting 3 in a row, they’re getting a 4-peat to tie us at 6 titles. That puts Mahomes at 5 rings (passing Joe and leaving TB12 as the last windmill). After that it gets interesting as I believe the league would need consent from the Rooney family to let KC get to 7 Lombardi trophies (they hate us so they might allow it). I know it’s tin foil hat stuff but is it really that far-fetched?

Who is beating this Chefs team?
Eagles?
Lions?
Nobody in the AFC can get it done right now.

I love mayo.. but him saying Jacoby gives us the best chance to win after he watched the film at 2-3 am.. is crazy... he must have had a few in him... I think he's trying to reward Jacoby for his heroic abilities behind this line. Usually a coach isn't going to bad mouth a player publicly when they are looking to demote them. I believe of Drake has a week of preparation as the starter, ans the game plan around what he can do.. how we can throw guys open. We would have a much greater chance to win.

I like Mayo but it is hard to believe him at this moment. It appears as though the front office is pulling the strings.

at least that 3rd is still sitting pretty
Any game Atlanta loses is big for us. If they finish just out of the playoffs at say 9-8, our pick will be around #80-82. If they make to the SB as some have picked, it's #95. Our own 3rd rounder will likely be around 70 or low 70's.

Pats without a doubt

.... we're not talking about 2016? oh
So.... the real fan 3 game assessment is.

We played our absolute best and beat a disinterested Cincy team minus Higgins

I give them credit against Seattle.. they are legit. I believe they are the best team in the NFC right now.

We played lethargic, half ass and gave Rodgers no resistance.. Offense... uh yeah..

I feel like the pressure will mount from the fan base to play Maye.. at what point can you keep playing Jacoby? It's only so many tough and gritty compliments yoi can give him. Will we be 1-6 ?? When does play maye come into effect?

Luck not going to a better franchise is why Mahomes has a free run at the throne tbh. If Luck was still playing there would be at least one absolute legit roadblock for Mahomes compared to what he has to face now at QB.

LOL. Why in the world would the obvious be controversial?
In all seriousness, though, I guess it's based on one's definition of mediocre. Imho, he's a "good" QB. A pinch smidgen nip better than Kurt Warner's Mendoza Line of good which is a prime Andy Dalton. I also think initial impressions have played a huge factor (as in to me Sam Horn will always be awesome), as his rookie season was stellar even with the 1 and done in the playoffs. Mediocre doesn't really go to the playoffs. Good gets them there, and great (actual "elite") will overcome any other team deficiencies to get to the final or penultimate game.

I do agree with you in that the superlatives and money thrown at him are ridonkeylous. He's basically Romo.
