The fact that he hasn’t told the Bucs tells me that something has happened. My bet is with Arians. His contract was not structured with retirement in mind. My guess is he assures the Bucs he’ll play until the end of 2022 when he signed the extension last year but that was before he has to play QB and be the HC at the same time.
