OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Bucs haven't really had all their defensive starters together at all this season. Whitehead missed the opener, Murphy-Bunting got hurt in that game. Last week was as close as they've been, and they could have SMB back Sunday.

SMB was a full go today they’ll have the wholes secondary available maybe so they can contain Kupp and that offense enough

You almost rather they go with their safety packages with Edwards over SMB but I don't know if that's an option against this offense.

Here’s final injury report for Bucs - Jason Pierre-Paul was excused from practice again today to deal with a personal matter, and he’s listed as questionable for Sunday.

A lot of talk about the offense, but in last year’s AFCDG. they only had 13 points with a few minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and their only first half TD came on an almost pick 6.

All three of their TDs came off turnovers, as their longest TD drive was just 40 yards when the Saints defense finally looked gassed.

Brady averaged just 6 ypa and the Saints dropped several balls that should have been picked.

So, while not having Godwin and Brown make this a tougher game, they've had to find other ways to win in the past as well.

Rams also do not have he secondary that the Saints have. Other than Ramsey, they're pretty pedestrian back there

I visited a few other team forums and it's pretty bad what other teams say about Brady. Basically they would love for him to drop dead or get hit by a car. They think every game he plays in is rigged. At first I thought that the posters must be children but I don't think so.

He can't be on Kupp, SMB gives up HUGE plays and he's been hurt. Dean is the fastest DB they have and Davis is the best. Probably lots of zone with some situational man and maybe Dean on Kupp in those instances?

Bucs OLB Jason Pierre-Paul was listed as questionable for Sunday, but looks like he’s a go against Rams, per his Instagram:

Catch 22 with this though. He could show up huge or most likely he could be a liability. With the Rams LT out will the DC move #90 off that side and let #9 or #58 try and take advantage of the backup. Can't always delay blitz with a safety or linebacker, they have to win with 4 on some downs and that LT spot is weak now for the Rams.

So, I don’t want Brady losing to Jimmy G or Aaron Rodgers, and I don’t want him losing a Super Bowl.

Since I don’t see the bucs winning it all this year, I think I’m ok with Brady losing this weekend.

i’ve heard some suggestions he might retire, on that front I would like to see him keep going just to keep adding to his records. As long as he’s performing at a pretty high level and he was basically like top-five MVP this year why not keep going.

He’s good.

Rodgers is back bringing politics and Covid situation in an interview with ESPN.

sounds like the comments of someone who knows his precious MVP votes are already counted and is also planning to retire after the season

Everyone is speaking about the Rams D like they are the 85 bears. Except the their pass rush and Ramsey they are pretty average. The Bucs had better stats in the regular season and everyone is saying they were not that good in the regular season.

they also are susceptible to big plays. They have allowed 10 40+ Yds plays. The Bucs D in comparison has allowed 5. I expect some deep shot to Evans. If the Bucs can come up with a good gameplan to handle their pass rush. They will score point. The saints are trouble for the Bucs because they can rush and cover. I am not sure the Rams D can cover.

on the other side of the ball everybody fail to mention that Stafford has thrown 8 picks in his last 5 games. I would add that you can’t stop Kupp but the week 3 game was his 3rd worst avg per reception of the season.

After watching the last month of the season and in particular the playoff game, it has been crystal clear just how much the Patriot Way was predicated on Brady and his leadership. His ability to elevate and hold guys accountable is second to none.
And yet, Brady was called "Temperamental Tommy" by one of the more respected Pats fans. WTF is going on with these people? Would they really rather have a great coach scribbling notes on the sidelines than a great QB on the field making the plays? That's crazy talk.

"Brady's just a system QB."

"No. Brady IS the system."
That's becoming easier to see all the time. Maybe some of Bill's rumpswabs will come around to the truth.

We can thank the NYFL, Bill and Bob for the false image that's been projected onto Brady. The NYFL for the lies and trumped up charges and Bill and Bob for not supporting him. The power of the press is real and it can do more damage than good.
