I am not sure why the term "game manager" got this negative connotation. But the QBs job is to win the game and it really is Brady's best attribute. He understands game situations and what is needed better than QB who has ever played the game. He also manages his teammates as well understanding how to throw the ball so they avoid bone jarring hits. He really is a master back there lining everyone up, reading the defense and making the adjustments at the line. I would love for someone to ask Leftwich how many times Brady checks out of a bad play into a good play based on the defensive look. I bet it is over 50 percent every game.I'm not referring to "game manager" in the pejorative sense. I'm referring to it in the best sense. No need to go crazy with the throws. Just keep the clock going, move the chains, and know when to fight another day.
To this day, he still does that as well as, or better, than every other QB in the league.
