The media is who votes. The media doesn't mean anything. They said Brady would not win it in 2017 the entire season and then he got 40+ votes.

Both are crazy good but you are right BB wouldn't pay 20mil or more for a receiver.Bill will never pay for Adams. Or Godwin for that matter. Poor Mac. In this league with dynamic offenses galore, he will be feeding from the bottom of the barrel.
Not the jackals on the debate shows ...The media is who votes.
If Rodgers has to throw to win he'll crumble based on his history and he seems to actually play as though he wants stats and MVPs. If he's down 2 scores in a big game with his face being constantly put in the dirt, he can't do it. He's the ultimate front runner. He shouldn't play much next week which means his stock won't go down but lets hope Taylor runs for 300 and steals it from him. You can bet that if the roles were reversed and Rodgers would get 40+ TDs and 5000 yards at 44 he would be automatic MVP.
I wrote this on another forum but wanted to share here as well to get folks thoughts. Both are crazy good but you are right BB wouldn't pay 20mil or more for a receiver.
Either way, I don’t think we have the money to sign a guy like that and rebuild our defense at the same timeBill will never pay for Adams. Or Godwin for that matter. Poor Mac. In this league with dynamic offenses galore, he will be feeding from the bottom of the barrel.
An interview with his Uber driver (he took an Uber home after the game) describing his mood as being jubilant after the game. It’s Barstool so I’m sure it’s available on other mediums. This isn’t showing up for those of us without an account. What is it?
It was not shown on TV here south of Tampa. Re-watched in detail last night and no shot of Brady and AB together.I heard Brady and AB went at it yesterday, long before Bayless mentioned it. Bucs fans saw it on TV--not sure why we're not seeing that exchange replayed
Absolutely. Brady is 45 from Stafford's attempts record in a season (727) and 15 from Brees's completions record in a season (471), when they were 24 & 37 yo respectively. Rodgers is #49 and #36 on these lists.Brady has 3 wins this season when throwing 50+ times. Rodgers has 3 wins in his career when throwing 50+ times.
This season, Brady has thrown the ball 40+ times in eleven games. Rodgers has thrown 40+ times in one game. Over their careers, Brady is 64-33 in such games. Rodgers is 19-29.
Rodgers has never carried a team like Brady. This year is no exception.
Was Antonio Brown unable to play due to his ankle injury?
We know what happened after the crap hit the fan at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.profootballtalk.nbcsports.com
This is what I was talking about yesterday with some people so focused on AB that they didn't even want to consider it. That said I'm not sure this is what happened and AB gets no benefit of the doubt. Today it sounds like he was pouting about Gronk which is unacceptable.
To say Brady's #s are higher because he passes more is flat out ridiculous. QBs are supposed to pass.
Tom does have a couple Touchdown throws this season from the 5yard line or less, but it always seem to me that Rodgers throws there 90 percent of the time. Which helps his TD count a lot. If it works don't break it obviously I would do the same, but take those TDs out and I bet you the gap is even wider from Tom to Rodgers in touchdowns.Absolutely. Brady is 487 yards from Manning's passing yds record (5,477). This one will be harder to reach, and he's already #3 on the list, but he can certainly pass his own record of 5,235 yards. Rodgers is #50 on this list.
Brady also has back to back 40 TD seasons in his 40s. Rodgers never had 40 TD seasons in a row.

Rodgers seems to care more about his completion % and is risk averse. Not sure why voters would promote risk averse QBs in a passing league. It's just so odd.
Aaron Rodgers deserves the MVP. Look what he did vs SF earlier this year. He leads his team to victory down 28-27 with 37 seconds left and no timeouts. I can't remember the last time Brady won a game getting the ball with so little time remaining...I've seen him do it with 2 mins and perhaps even 1 minute, but less than 40 seconds?
Alot of this is not Rodgers himself (except the fact he can win big games) but the media depiction of him. What they do works and he's very good at it. It works until he needs to lift his team on his shoulders but maybe he won't have to with that defense. The fact that he's made out to be a golden god when he can't even make the SB is what creates the anger the same way that the ridiculous coverage Brady gets does the same.Tom does have a couple Touchdown throws this season from the 5yard line or less, but it always seem to me that Rodgers throws there 90 percent of the time. I find Ryan Clark and Dan Orlovsky to be a lot more creditable than 99.9% of the local NFL reporters. I mean, Gregg Doyel covers the Colts. Not the jackals on the debate shows ...
My man Mac10 is just an instigator here. Sometimes he does talk about football and the back and forth is cool, but mostly he likes to put Brady down for some weird reasonBrady has thrown TDs in the final seconds for wins, not just FGs. I mean, Brandin Cooks against the Texans, Kenbrell Thompkins against the Saints, these things are seared into my brain.
