OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I’m sure I’ve had some horrendous takes over the years and could be laughed at
in hindsight, but this one is worthy of a few extra chuckles. Looks like it was a thread that got merged into the one @Deus Irae linked, and the thread title survived.

It isn’t even such a terrible take (more informational), but the title itself is so packed with hindsight facepalms.

Good chance Bradford & Sanchez stay in school - Great news for Brady's trade value

Yeah Billidiots have been wanting to move on from Brady since 2008, and every QB they wanted Brady has outplayed and outlasted as a starting QB.

KOC, Cassell, people wanted a bad year so we could draft Johnny Manziel, then it was Jimmy, and Brisset.

It would have been like Bulls fans saying it was Krause the whole time and that they needed to trade Jordan for Harold Minor.

I always find it amusing that Brady outlasted both Eli and Andrew Luck.

We witnessed six rings in twenty years.

I enjoy the 20/20 hindsight stuff and agree with some of it but I will never feel "screwed" by any of it.
Ain't that the truth.

That was pretty cool to have someone like Roger Staubach say that to him. You know those old guys don't really respect today's game for a lot of reasons but they do respect greatness. Brady was so quiet too just in awe of him saying those things to him. That is probably better than any jacket or trophy or ring. To have one of the all time great QBs say that what you have done has never been done by any great QB.

Arians is still riding asses.

A pattern is developing for the Buccaneers. It’s a troubling one for coach Bruce Arians.

“After a day off, our offense just stinks,” Arians told reporters on Monday. “They’ve got to break that habit. Defensively, they answered the bell. They came out and dominated the entire practice. It was good to see.”

So why is it happening?

“Ask them,” Arians said. “You can’t be warned more than every week. Dropped passes, missed assignment on basic plays — it’s just a lack of concentration.”

Ugh. Sorry. I just can't stand Dungy. What a hypocrite he is. He was ranking his all time QBs and I think he had Tom at 6 or something. Complete and total joker who is very bitter that Brady is universally recognized as the GOAT and not Peyton.

He was stealing signs, but the legal way. Even though it had the exact same effect. And guess who was the most vocal crybaby critic during Spygate, comparing them to Barry Bonds? There's no level of Dungy (or Polian) hate that I'd consider over the top.

They were also the deflategate cry babies too who got that ball rolling with Kravitz. Really, has there been any org more butt hurt by the premier franchise kicking their butts year after year than the Colts and their finalist banners? And now Dungy wants to make nice? Ridiculous.

Great article on AB, despite it being from ESPN.

One thing that's really interesting: AB had never had surgery before having an arthroscopic procedure done on his knee this offseason. That makes me more optimistic about his knee problems and perhaps this is a case where a player's optimism about "feeling better than ever" actually has some meaning...Arians said he probably needed the surgery in the past.

It’s going to be crazy this season.

Ronald Jones
Leonard Fournette
Giovani Bernard

Mike Evans
Chris Godwin
Antonio Brown
Scotty Miller
Tyler Johnson
Jaelon Darden?

Rob Gronkowski
Cameron Brate
O.J. Howard

I don’t know if we’ll see astronomical scoring totals from them just because the defense is probably going to be so good. I could see games where they’re draining the clock and trying to prevent injuries starting mid/late 3rd quarter.
