OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Above is from Profootball reference showing AB has enough for HOF.

With Brady, AB, Gronk. That's 3 surefire HOF.

They have Suh having a good chance but not guaranteed.

They still has Evans with a ways to go, but he has a good 5 years more to make his case.

Lavonte David is a longshot even though his stats are comparable to Wagnar. He doesn't have the AP and Probowls appears to be the reason. Sherman is also a longshot.

Not sure if you were in my thread this last offseason where I had a QB Hall tracker for ranking Hall worthiness and all-time pecking order.

I appreciate you posting the chart, as it does provide some context. I think an important honor is the All-Decade team. AB and Jones were both voted first team. It would be hard to find anyone who would say, without bias, that AB wasn't the best, or one the two best, wide receivers of the decade. Considering that, I think he should be a slam dunk Hall of Fame player, even more obvious than someone like Carter, Wayne, or Holt, none of whom were really in that tier. Then add a championship as a cherry on top, and the only reason he wouldn't get in is due to voter bias from off field stuff.

Is there a viagra variant for football? Asking because finding it difficult to get interest up for Bucs remaining opponent games.
I guess just watching TFB, AB the skilled moron and Gronk do their thing should be enough.

You could always give yourself a 2 game suspension and still be back in time for the playoffs...

A Jets beatdown is always glorious to see

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Jaguars have requested permission to interview Leftwich, the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator, for their coaching vacancy. Multiple reports indicate that the Jaguars have also requested permission to interview Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.

One of two teams with current coaching vacancies, Jacksonville is taking advantage of the NFL’s new rule that teams may request and conduct virtual interviews with candidates over the last two weeks of the regular season.

The Bucs’ offensive line not only has the NFL’s lowest sack percentage in protecting Tom Brady this year. They have the second-lowest sack % of any season in Brady’s career. More here (new subscribers get in this week for $2/month!):

With Shaq Barrett sidelined next few weeks with injury, Bucs are bringing back outside linebacker Elijah Ponder to their practice squad. Undrafted rookie from Cincinnati was with them in training camp and preseason.

NFL and NFLPA are getting close to adopting the new CDC guidelines that would reduce the quarantine time to five days from 10 days for all players, including those who are unvaccinated. Agreement could be done today, per sources.

Wentz is unvaccinated and covid+. Colts would love this.

Arians and Sean Murphy Bunting tested positive

I mean the Jets have like 11+ players on covid list. No excuses unless it takes Brady out.

I heard AB was lighting up Gilmore on Sunday.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 69-year-old Arians is vaccinated, which greatly reduces his risk of becoming seriously ill, but he is now isolating from the team.

Buccaneers assistant head coach and run game coordinator Harold Goodwin will assume the head-coaching duties while Arians is out. If Arians hasn’t returned, Goodwin will be the acting head coach Sunday against the Jets.
