New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has bought a tony Hamptons property in an off-market deal for $43 million, according to two people familiar with the deal. The transaction is one of the largest to close in the wealthy beach destination so far this year.

The property is on Meadow Lane in Southampton, N.Y., among some of the most expensive properties on Long Island. Other Meadow Lane owners include Henry Kravis, the billionaire co-founder of private equity giant KKR, hedge-fund manager Ken Griffin and financier Leon Black, records show.

Hey Google, show me results in South Hampton New York for....

Arthur Blank is outraged that Kraft spent that much, knowing that 43 can easily be interpreted as 7*4 = 28 to 3. Falcons won't be trading with them any time soon.

Summer home in the Hamptons and not Cape Cod? What can we make of this.

I don't understand the need for anyone to pay $43M for a SUMMER home...he's not even going to be there 9 months of the year.

His net worth is 6.9 Billion dollars so while he's not Bezos rich or anything.. still pretty dang rich. What's the equivalent of this for the average American? buying a sandwich? a new TV? a car?

$5 cups of tap water add up

It is an investment, mostly. Real estate tends to always go up (until it crashes like it did in 2007).

He, or his estate, will probably be able to re-sale it for a nice profit at some point.

No Orchid of Asia parlors on the cape.

Poppycock!

when I googled it, the next result was a webiste "rubmaps" which indicated that Cape Cod is well represented , didn't want to click on it on the work computer.

Nantucket not posh enough for Bobby K? Gonna be hangin' with lotsa Jete fans in the tony Hamptons. Easier to schmooze with the 32 he so worships.

Pretty sure it is at the candy bar level

Lets say you have a net worth of a $1 million. Which would still make you a pretty well off American.

The equivalent would be spending $6,231. So its basically what the equivalent of paying cash for a 10 year old used car?:haha:
