[QUOTE="I'll once again bring up the fact that their most popular fan forum doesn't even allow fans of other teams.[/QUOTE]
That's not a terrible idea. There was time in the early 00s that I actually respected the Steelers. Before That WR (forget his name.) acted like an idiot in the Superbowl, Before Harrison proved to be one of the dirtiest players in the league, before the rape charges against Ben and before all the chirping and whining and just general classlessness from Steelers' players. I attempted to talk football on a Steelers forum. I could not show enough respect to the Steelers or board members. I could not walk lightly enough on eggshells. The only thing that mattered to these people was that I was openly a Pats fan. I was constantly attacked without provocation, called names and I become the butt of all their frustration at the Pats. I was NEVER disrespectful. I never even defended myself. Never did gain their acceptance. It was like trying to converse with a pack of rabid dogs. Maybe it was just this one forum. And maybe it was because I was a Pats fan. Maybe they would have been more civilized if I were a Packers' fan, for example.
If I were running a forum, I wouldn't do that. But I can understand why somebody would.
