OT: Bills interested in McCaffrey?

Does seem weird that Buffalo radio guys would say that. I haven't seen him play much but I remember hearing he had a fumble on first ever time touching the ball and had a few drops, probably why he's being brought along slow. Hard to call anyone a bust with such little playing time.

They were told he's not getting the passing game, he's dropping the ball, a few fumbles. That's why he's not playing. They specifically said they won't put him in a tight game. Not against Miami, no Ravens. Then one of the radio guys said he was overdrafted, that his style of play at Georgia meant he wasn't a top back, he didn't carry the load, was not built for that bodywise. The radio host was on record as being negative about the pick way back at the draft, so he's not surprised that Cook hasn't grabbed the reins even though both hosts thought a 2nd is a premium pick for a back.

Compare him to Rhamondre who played as a rookie 4th round pick. Two totally different body types and backs.

For an oft injured RB that will be demanding big $ and certainly a decent draft pick or two to attain? Meh. If we want to pay an oft injured RB, I'd prefer we retain Harris for 1/3rd of the money. At least he is usually good to go after 3-4 weeks. CMC seems (i could be wrong but not interested enough to look it up) to miss 6-8 weeks/year.

RBs are a dime a dozen in this league. Hell, the skins just trotted out a rookie 6 weeks remived from being shot in the leg twice. CMC misses that every year and doesn't even get shot once.

RBs do not hold up well with age, and CMC is the epitome of a high mileage work horse. He already has durability questions, and I wouldn't expect those to improve with an ever expanding touch count.

A prototypical LT without 'head problems' would have me, Mac and Rham ecstatic I'd much rather address an obvious weakness than see them add to a relative position of strength.

Damien Harris has a soft tissue injury every single year... He missed a larger percentage of games than Sony Michel did when he was here, yet everyone just turns a blind eye to the blatant fact that Damien Harris is an injury prone player. He gets zero grief from anyone about it, which is truly bizarre given how much people get their pitchforks out for other players who get injured (especially Sony!)

Let him go to the Bills, I hope they overpay

McCaffrey seems healthy again so his versatility would be a good add for any roster. As good as Buffalo is already, McCaffrey sort of fills a need for them. I wouldn't mind seeing McCaffrey in a Patriots uniform. Or Bucs. I don't think any of these teams have the cap space.

Yeah, they got a guy who never plays (Moss), a guy who is less than mediocre (Singletary), and a rookie (Cook) who the tuned-in radio guys are referring to as a probable bust.

McDermott is 0-3 finding his RB.

If I recall correctly, in his first couple of years, Singletary was about as close to an Alvin Kamara type RB as I saw. Kind of surprised to see him thought of so little now.

On top of all that, since McD was hired Buffalo has been Ft Nox in terms of no info escaping headquarters.

You can call me a liar all you want, but I know one thing for sure: you are a fool if you contacted them and they told you this was the full week's segment about Cook. That's wrong. Plus--I may be wrong--but the voices sound like Jeremy and Howard, not Mike and the Bulldog.

I can name dozens of players that WGR has put down. They've totally roasted people in the past. I mean, Kelvin Benjamin was full of pinatas. Don't get me started on the ripping of the QBs.

I don’t know who said what but is it that difficult to believe that someone on the station would, given his lack of production and playjng time so far? Where they drafted him, the Bills likely expected him to make an impact right away and were going to give him every opportunity to take game reps away from Singletary and Moss. The fact that he has been an afterthought through 5 games is pretty good evidence that he’s been a disappointment on the practice field and in maybe in the film sessions and meetings as well.

You lose any credibility that you may still have here when you won’t at least admit that he’s been a disappointment thus far and when you also try to pump his tires by using his yards per carry based upon 17 carries.
