OT: Arians steps down as Tampa HC

IMO a team needs a singular voice.

I don't necessarily have an issue w/ Tom/Lefty running the O at a tactical level but at the end of the day Bowles is held accountable for wins and losses. His job demands he has final say in everything.
I agree with you. I suspect he will have a "30,000 foot view" of the offense, however.

Yep. I suspect he'll provide Lefty with some theme-based input on the weekly game plan, let he and Tom sort out the schematics and the plays calls and get the hell out of the way. Maybe he might overrule a call here and there during the game. Who knows.

It's not like hes Bill with a 2nd year QB and no OC to take charge

haha the twitter polls: "Is bruce arians a HOF coach"

hahahaha
Paraphrasing from today's presser:

Reporter: Was it hard to step away now when you could win another SB and help you get into the HOF?
BA: No, I don't give a sh!t about the HOF.

Gotta love that guy, he's a character.

Whenever I hear his name:

BB won a playoff game with Cleveland in 1994 with the #1 ranked defense in the NFL, it was the last time they won a playoff game going back 26 years until 2020. You don't even have your facts straight.
Against the Parcells coached Patriots no less.

Get your facts straight. I threw two posters out who were high jacking this thread.

One poster is a known troll- a one trick pony who only criticizes the Pats and BB and has been warned numerous times.
The other poster is an agitator/self admitted troll who does not criticize BB at all but trolls the Tom Brady/Tampa fans with his constant trolling.

Before making this ridiculous statements, make sure you get your facts straight.

Mic drop

**** HIM UP ASH

Bowles has likely flushed Bruce's offensive game plan interference and wiped the slate clean for Brady & Lefky. Number one, Bowles needs to erase the stench of game & season losing defensive call of a safety covering a league & game leading wideout one on one. pissing away a great Brady comeback. Number two, hopefully the 2022 OL won't play like tissue paper against teams like the Rams and will protect their QB.

It's still hilarious to me that the medias story they expect us to believe is just that Bruce arians is the most selfless person in the world so worried that bowles will get a bad job so he stepped aside.

Yet he had no intention of retiring when Brady was retired and
I agree 100%. Once the decision was made to bring back Brady and let Arians go (i.e. promote him out of the way) the only real course of action they could have followed was to do what they did: Announce Brady's return, wait 2 weeks, make the coaching change. It would have been really bad if they made the coaching change and then Brady came back. It also would have been really bad if they announced the coaching change closer to Brady's return.

So what they did was leave a couple week gap between the 2 events to (hopefully) fool people into thinking they weren't related.

Especially when the news is that Brady was told the day of or before that arians was stepping down. Why wait 2 weeks?

Especially with all the smoke about arians/Brady having beef.

Does make you think more about the wickersham BOB claim. I thought it was BS. But seems more believable now.

BA is the polar opposite of BB so ppl view him as a fool. His career win % .624 (ARI - .619; TB - .633) is pretty good. Two time COY & SB winner. He's got a great reputation amongst the players and is well regarded in the league. He always promoted diversity and was loyal to his coaches. He's definately a character and God knows we need those around. Retiring from coaching at 69 is not unusual.
Doesn't even include the 9-3 as interim coach while Pagano was out (for which he won one of his 2 CoY awards).

Yes, he did. After which Edleman said I'm a Patriot, period.
The same way that Gronk and Brady were retired.

When the summer gets here look for Brady to ramp up the sales pitch.

If Edelman's knees has healed enough, big IF, would he come back and who would he play for?

I say yes.

I think 1st choice would be Pats just as long as BB doesn't try to give him a low ball contract.

2nd choice is TB but Brady might convince him that TB would give him the best chance to make it to HOF. Edelman needs at least one strong playoff run, but probably two to make it in.

Bone on bone knees do not "heal". Career ender. Worse, makes rest of life not as enjoyable. Knee transplants are your future. Thankfully I sucked as an athlete and never really damaged my body except for ankles.
