Yea as much as I think Arians is a blow-hard I think his true intent behind the quote was tire -pumping Lefty for a future HC gig.

I think Brady always wanted to leave and win elsewhere, it was the only thing that Manning had done that he hadn’t.

Not sure. I think he wanted to stay but when no extension as provided past age 42, I do think he got excited about trying to win somewhere else in a different way. Arians said this a few times after they won SB 55. And Brady himself said he was envious of Manning's control in Denver.
