I don't see where people are getting the Chargers out of the Rams new logo. There is nothing that looks like a lightning bolt in that.

Thinking of a Big Horn Ram, the circular horn is clearly visible.

Would I have gone with it? Nope. But I can see the HORN shape pretty clearly.

People see the chargers because it’s chock full of fail.

Maybe it's not that people see something that is not there, but rather you don't see something that is there.
My very first thought was its the new chargers logo. Take the chargers bolt and bend it in a more circular shape...

I see the Ram horns now that DaBruinz pointed it out, but a quick glance led me to see what appeared to be some lightning bolts, and maybe even the letter “C,” making a LAC emblem in my mind. Again, just thoughts from the initial look.

Wrong.

Again, nothing about it reminds me of a lightning bolt or the Chargers Logo. Colors are just completely wrong. The Chargers Lightning bolt is either Yellow or White. Even curved, the bolt has distinct jagged edges.. The Rams logo doesn't.

You're right but initially I saw the "C" too. I didn't even realize the horns until I read your post.

I see the horn, too. And yet many people in the twitter comments saw the bolt first. So imo there's not much to argue that the new logo has absolutely nothing to do with a bolt.

Anyway... On to the Brady rumor thread...

Wrong again. As usual.

Browns release Kirksey
We should be all over that him and retaining Collins would give us very athletic backers.

I posted this in the Brady rumors thread, but it fits here, too:

The NFL has decided to make things a bit more interesting.

The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to extend the franchise/transition tag deadline to 11:59:59 a.m. ET on Monday, March 16, according to multiple reports. Adam Schefter of ESPN was first with the news.

This deadline extension also sets up what will be a wild couple of days on the NFL calendar. One second after the the league's franchise deadline passes is the start of the legal tampering period.

NFL extends deadline for teams to utilize the franchise and transition tags

So here are the new key dates and times:

  • Saturday, March 14 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET: Deadline for players to vote on the proposed CBA
  • Monday, March 16 at 11:59:59 a.m. ET: Franchise/transition tag deadline
  • Monday, March 16 at 12 p.m. ET: Legal tampering period opens
