I am afraid the only way Mac takes up the reins is when Cam will fail the game or maybe two with his silly decisions ( what is highly possible ). Trust me I want to believe in Cam but I just can't. He is just a bad passer and nothing and no one is able to change that fact. The sooner Mac becomes a starter the better for the team.

Nobody roots against the Pats to suck, but lets not pretend that Cam is a step away from being Brady and Mahomes in one person, your initial question is like me asking, what if Mac would have 150QBR first 5 games, whom do you start?

Probably their most talented pass rushing unit since 2015 with Jones, Sheard, & Ninkovich. Been awhile since they've been able to win up front without scheming pressure on the qb.

Yeah it was a joke. I remember having arguments with people about our lack of receicving corp they always threw him in.

True but to be that dominant,
* 6 scores in 8 drives ( should have been 7 if not for missed FG)
* over 4 pts per possession which is outstanding
* Only one punt all night
* 5/9 on third down
* They left 6 points out there ( missed FG, missed XP)
* More than half of the damage was done by a rookie QB who they had running shotgun, under center, 5 wide, and other formations......and one who looking very comfortable identifying the defense and adapting to it...
It shows a team that can run a ball control ( critics call it dink and dunk) offense up and down the field.
It requires a healthy gain on first down often converting on second down so you aren't in third and long (thanks Captain Obvious).
It was fun to watch especially when balls weren't being thrown into the ground 5 yards in front of the receivers.....

On the flip side, it was against second stringers and the Eagles are going to be lucky to be a 5 win team this year, even in that division.....

They were not second stringers, they were insurance salesman. Eagles didnt play anyone. I mean you have to go against who you go against, but Teams all do preseason different, and it really tells you nothing about an offense until gameplans, and real bullets start flying. Hell since they had a joint practice the coaches probably even had a deal to not try and kill the other team. 3 years ago the giants QB was the next montana in preseason, had the highest QB rating even over starters....now they want him replaced. People tend to put stock in Preseason when they get the outcome they want.
