I guess I was thinking touches - which proves it more as well. Rham 9, Henderson 11, Gibson 1

That's ridiculous. Gibson should be the lead "running" back, and Henderson the lead "all-around", Rham is a 3rd option.
Henderson had 25 snaps, Rham had 46. Seemed more even between the 2 watching the game but Tre needs to be the main back and those numbers need to be reversed. Rham had 3 bad chip/pass blocks that were killers

We should offer him to a team who believes they could use him.

Pittsburgh comes to mind.
They just drafted Johnson who is a very similar runner and on a rookie contract, why would Pitt have any interest in an older, much more expensive version of what they have?!

Honestly surprised he wasn't sent packing at cutdown day. Not confident his fumbling issue is fixed, not a great blocker, and RB's fall off the cliff hard.
The whole logic is flawed, it's like we're trying to dink and dink and 3 yard run our way down the field like the good old days, we should have guys who have a home run threat like Henderson in the game and getting Drake out of the pocket and making big plays down the field.

Trying to recreate the Brady offense just isn't going to work, Maye looks like his head is spinning during the game he either didn't know what he was seeing seeing or what he's supposed to be doing.

I think it's information overload with McDaniels.

So Rham is completely ****ting the bed on all levels Bell/Cow RB my @ss. He needs to be Inactive.

Most responsible for the loss: Josh McDaniels.
I like McDaniejs but he does have a tendency to a in Don the run when things don’t go well. That being said. he schemed plenty of guys open yesterday and Maye missed them.

Allen was fine his 2nd year and he won 10 games. Even during rookie year were he was really bad you could see flashes that the game wasn’t too big for him.

Maye is completely the opposite. He only won 1 game in his career and it was against the Bear. Not even sure that count as a win. Only score more than 20 points once. And you can clearly see he crumble as soon as the game matter. The game is too big from him. We need a new QB next year

Allen wasn't fine his second year. He started the year off shakey and got better as the year went along, but he was mediocre that year. His first five games, he had 3 TDs passing and 3 Rushing TDs and 6 INTs. He settled down and had 17 passing TDs 6 rushing TDs and 3 INTs the rest of the year.

Yes, Maye looks shakey, but it is first game in a new system. Let's not call him a bust yet.

I don't care about his wins and losses last year. A lot of the losses are because of the lack of talent around him and the coach. I think he would have done better last year if they didn't have an o-line and just gave him 10 receivers, but then again they didn't have three WRs who could catch the ball anyway.

Maye needs to prove himself, but people are far too quickly writing this guy off. Last year was a wash and a wasted year. He was put in an awful position. Worse than any rookie QB can expected to endure.

Josh Allen always had good coaching and talent around him (at least far better talent than Maye had last year or even this year).

Let's see how good our Brass is at adjusting after watching tape.

Seems to be a guy that cares to me. Pretty natural to revert to what you know in moments of uncertainty.
I know plenty of golfers who slice the ball. They hate it and try to correct it (including paying $ for lessons)but when the heat is on out comes the slice. It’s most certainly not because they don’t care, it’s just what their body is used to to.
To say Maye doesn’t care is unfounded and unfair.
Drake Maye is clearly unconcerned with the little detail that makes a QB good and rely on pure talent. Drake Maye doesn’t have what it takes to be good in this league.

Those inaccuracies due to poor mechanics should have been long gone by now or at least he shouldn’t have that many. Scream like a guy that didn’t work on that very much during the offseason.

Anybody that want to be good in this league can’t have no improvement on their biggest weakness in a year and a half.

I expected Maye to have struggles with the new offense but I'm surprised the run game was not that effective. 3.3 yards per carry is not terrible but I was expecting it to be much better...somewhere above 4.0 YPC. A better run game would have provided a spark for the Pats offense and kept the Raiders off the field. The passing game will get better.

I'll settle for allowing 20 points per game (would have been 8th best last year) and the stats last time we had a "rookie " quarterback": 3801 yards, 22 TD's, 13 INT's and 462 points. The TEAM has over 4000 yards passing of we count the 227 yards by the #2 QB.

Why is it unreasonable to expect this from Maye? or from the Defense?

Yeah. Thank you for this post. Now it's clear to me I made a mistake by browsing this forum so soon. I'll wait til Sunday

I mean Drake Maye has been showing the same thing for 14 games with no improvement at all.

Inaccurate with poor mechanics and completely crumbles when the game matter.

I don’t know what to tell you. You can keep your head in the sand it will not make Drake Maye magically good.

Wearing the Alamo's score prediction on my profile after this loss is like a kick in the nuts.

Herbert had better numbers as a Rookie in 2020 than he did in his 4th year in 2023. I guess it’s cause he doesn’t care and didn’t work hard enough on his flaws.
Come on man.

LOL! Maye hasn't even started a full season yet and you think he is a bust. I love Gross Overreaction After a Loss Mondays.

Maye has shown signs last year. You are overstating things. People weren't high on Maye up until yesterday (both locally and nationally) because looked like a bust all last year.

Maye needs to improve quite a bit, but it is way too early to write him off. He has started 12 games. Eleven of them with a team that probably would have lost to some of the top NCAA teams last year even with a QB you would consider good. And one of those games he was knocked out of the game after six pass attempts with a concussion.

Yeah because he missed 4 games and Herbert already proved himself as a top 10 QB.
