Some?

They are definitely are on year 6 of a rebuild.

Anyone who says otherwise was fooling them self then, not now.
Preaching to the choir, my friend.
I did present an "offramp" merely to invite in those who.....

...and get.....

......by prolonged Pats failure

Mac Jones 2.0 incoming
We’ve got to push back on this nonsense. If we allow the impatience of fools to push the narrative, it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Being a winning NFL QB is not easy, it takes growth, experience and a growing confidence. Plus, having a damn good team around them. Drake Maye has the physical skill to be a winning QB. That’s saying more than you can say for most. What he lacks is consistent fundamentals, experienced judgement and that good team.

Seriously, we need to push back on these idiots and their rush to judgement. To me, he’ll never be Brady, so we need not to compare him to him. But, he has the passing skill and athleticism to be as good as Bledsoe and Grogan. Two imperfect Patriots QBs who could have won SBs with a good enough team around them.

Maye was drafted raw with very high upside. Raw QBs take time to develop. He’s boom or bust like any other QB with that profile.

The physical tools are absolutely there but he needs a lot of work.

4 sacks was good but Davis had a bad game and.
geno and his Offense lit it up with 20 points. If he doesn't that all year, how many game do you think he'll win?

Others will be doing the same. The teams will be putting game planning to stop the run and make Maye beat them...

Can he? I have faith but does Maye is the question as this point...
The screen is a bit predictable. They need to put him in motion or even the slot or have him sneak through the line to receive

If I remember right, Josh Allen was only an average QB for his first two seasons right?
Here was his debut against us.
Maye wasn’t this bad today but hopefully the payoff is worth it for him and us like it was for Buffalo.

The season is ALL on Maye and on the OL.

COMPARED TO EXPECTATIONS

1) The Defense looked good; allowing 20 points a game is certainly OK. The front six look really good. They will be a sack machine. They all will get better as they play more together.

2) WHO OF US expected the OL who didn't play together as a unit very much in the preseason would magically look good in Game One?
Yes, we need more improvements next year. However, this OL was always going to need half a season to gel this year, especially after ALL the six OG's were so bad that they needed to be cut and Wilson needed to move to LG, with BROWN as the #1 backup. Wallace wasn't even active.

The OL will get much better. Of course, I don't expect them to be better than maybe 20th in the NFL, a MASSIVE improvement.

3) The receivers are OK. Different folks will stand out in different games. Boutte, Diggs and Henry certainly had good games.

3) The OPEN QUESTION was, is and will be Maye. 2024 was a lost year. Apparently, it will take time for him to develop, hopefully into a top 10 QB.

Not many positives from today..... maybe some of you got laid because you stopped watching the nonsense.
Other than that?

We agree that Maye did not have a good day, but if you look at a lot of QBs today, even more established QBs with better weapons and Olines thank Maye’s, they played poorly as well, maybe even worse than Maye. Not making excuses for Maye, just saying he wasn’t the worst QB of the day, and like I said, some of those QBs have better weapons and better Olines.

Starting to think Drake maye does not have the clutch gene. I really really wanted to like Maye and wanted to think he's the answer. He still may be the answer....but through his 13/14 whatever games last year and today, he makes very few clutch plays. He comes up small when the team needs him. Mac Jones came up small in the biggest spots and Maye is on the same path. If they ****ed up picking Maye this will set the franchise back another 10 years.

They were fkn HORRENDOUS Today.
No excuses, just piss poor on both sides of the ball.

Mayo is laughing at these clowns.
Sayin he lost to Geno Smith in OT not after Halftime.
