It’s apparent that he is going to take over Josh Allen’s mantle very soon and if he stays healthy he’s going to be an alpha QB in this league! Not good news for the rest of the league if it becomes Dynasty part 2If the Patriots go on to establish another dynasty, I fear a mass exodus of football fans in despair. That means countermeasures by the NFL ala deflategate etc. Just saying.

Crazy game.Giants scored 32 and lost.
I'm surprised that the Pats haven't thrown Hendo the ball more. Get him out in space. Not writing him off, just concerning that he was out snapped by someone called up from the practice squad.
Chargers continue to be frauds, Colts are for real, Denver is for real, Houston is meh.. aren't we like 2nd in the AFC at 5-2 behind indy?...We now need the Chargers to beat the Colts, Giants to beat Denver and Seattle to beat Houston.
Road to the #1 seed continues.
Nice road win.
The game day thread is pretty unreadable. 31-13 win, Maye 21/23, 175 yes rushing. 4 sacks, one for a fumble TD, and an INT. 0 turnovers. But from the GD thread, it was a disaster.
60 minutes.
I think it's more related to poor scouting report vs a major change by Maye. If you had to build an NFL QB in a lab, Drake Maye would be pretty close to the guy that would come out of that lab.Was a big fan of Maye at North Carolina, he was my #1 QB for the draft and I posted a lot of reasons why in the draft forum. Obviously the natural arm talent and scrambling ability was to die for. His shortcomings were well documented as being footwork and accuracy which made him a a very talented QB but with flaws so to speak. Never in my expectations did I predict to see him solve them this quick. It’s almost unfair to have a QB with prototypical size and arm strength develop pin point accuracy. 78% completion percentage is pretty insane. Starting to wonder if he can break Drew Brees’s single season record of 74% in just his second year?
This is a quarterbacks league and we most definitely have one.

This is the first year in college or pros where the O Line is not complete trash, where the OC is not terrible. Yeah, he's gotten better with playing experience, but he looks mostly like college Drake Maye to me, just a better supporting cast.
I have no idea where the idea he was inaccurate in college came from. Wasn't from watching tape.
I get there was a play or 2 here and there but overall accuracy was elite in college. He sailed like 5 balls in 2 years, and a few of them looked like might have been throwaways.
Never saw a college QB have to throw into so many small windows since his receivers couldn't get open.
On deep balls he might have been the most accurate college QB of all time. I had him down for 80% accuracy on deep balls in college, 40%-50% would be considered good.

Hope so! James White was buried his rookie year.and perhaps it will take another year for him to develop to be a key 3rd down back.
Yeah, I watched every throw on pro day, multiple times, watched every throw in college multiple times.Did you watch his Pro Day?
Tampa game is week 10. Beware of week 11 as a big time trap game possibility. It’s playing the hapless Jets on TNF so a short week after Tampa Bay. With the Jets perfectly positioned to pull a huge upset. The Tampa game could decide league MVP ...
Not true.Yeah, I watched every throw on pro day, multiple times, watched every throw in college multiple times.
I remember Rick Spielman was at the pro days and said, after watching Daniel's pro day and then Mayes, that there was no way Daniels goes before Maye. That convinced me Washington was taking Maye, since he had worked for Washington Just that off season. I was quite depressed until word started leaking that they were drafting Daniels instead.
Maye's level of difficult in his pro day was way higher than Daniels and Williams. He sailed 1 ball early and then just blew away the field. Simulated blitzes, off balance throws, moving the pocket, 65-yard bomb perfectly placed.
Pro Days are kind of overblown in terms first round picks against air because they should hit every throw.
How can you tell if they can process? Go thru reads, hit tight windows? At least Maye made the throws a higher level of difficulty.
Better to watch every throw in college games though to get a real feel.
What?Not true.
My point is you cannot fault some questions about his mechanics/accuracy but despite that, none of that "talk" overwhelmed the good that was talked about.
He's shown that he is coachable, a hard worker and a team first-leader guy.
