I'm 10 pages in and no one here has mentioned Matt Patricia.

Without Matt Patricia's role in the offense in '02-'03, it's highly unlikely that Drake Maye ends up a New England Patriot.

So not only did Matt coach the 2016 Patriots defense to a Super Bowl victory, but he is largely responsible for the Patriots landing Tom Brady's excellent successor.

Great game overall, only critiques are the defense starting slow once again and Maye taking too many sacks and hits !
Very happy that we had a good running game today, hopefully that continues. We are in the top 10 in passing and at the bottom in rushing. Hopefully by season end we are somewhere in the middle in rushing, as we need that if we make the playoffs and if we want to make some noise in the playoff.
Other than go....5 and 2 feels fantastic !!! and still ahead of the Bills !!!!

Pass rush ineffective early, better in second half. Tackling needs to get better. Everybody complains about tackles beating the snap. Looked like Campbell was doing that today. I think this team would be really bad without Maye and his much maligned receivers who are playing great. Chism got his feet wet but I don't think we'll see a lot of him offensively this year.

Not every QB you draft is a Pro Bowler. Once you make the determination to move on, that should be it. The owner suite should not fall in love with these guys. You act like it's a guarantee that every 1st round QB will work out. The vast majority DON'T!

His mechanics have regressed to his Incarnate Word days. He's got talent, but he needs coaching badly.

Brinker and Borgonzi have a really good opportunity with the coaching hire. Ward has talent and we have seen 1st hand what good coaching and a good OC can do for a young QB
