quick half time thoughts

1. The improve by the defense is palpable and much need by both them and US. /..... so far.

2. This offense NEEDS Gronk in the red zone - if not to get the TD but to open up things for others.

3. The Pats need to finish those drives- Between the 2o's they haven't been stopped except by themselves. Tampa can't stop them.

4. Decent first half = not great but OK with a 6 pt lead. It should be more. This first series on defense is critical

We have to be disappointed that they aren't using Allen more in the Red Zone. As a blocker or as a Target.. Makes no sense..

defense still far from worry-free, w/the few longish runs. Games turn on a few big plays, somebody once said... so far it looks like they can be had on the ground.

They played a small unit on that drive. 335 the only time they did.
They came out in 434 then 425 and played the run fine.

It was scheme not play that caused it.

Special commendation to Gilmore so far. Hell of a rebound game against a really difficult matchup.

Very true. Hope he keeps it up. Secondary play is good right now which is what we need first and foremost.

I wouldn't be surprised if Marsh was benched for his dumb plays.. But, they haven't benched Bolden despite him getting his 2nd or 3rd Special teams penalty..

For who??? We do not have a ton of options.

You can’t say that this defense hasn’t looked disorganized, undisciplined, sloppy and with poor communication overall so far this season....they will get better....but allowing almost 8yd a carry and leaving some receivers wide frigging open (no one there) isn’t going to get it done....they will figure it out....but maddening to watch now

What did you expect on a short week after leaving Branch at home ? That suddenly out of nowhere they'd be strong against the run ?

i am just appreciating what brady is doing with a bunch of good but not other world receivers and a patch oline .

Same but starting to get worried about the hits. You could see visibly that Brady was feeling it after a few of those hits.

Pass defense looks better tonight, I think they've already began to shore some things up.

Winston is a good QB who makes occasional boneheaded throws. He's been playing very well the last couple weeks. With the notable exception of the touchdown drive we've just played really solid defense.

Last year's team would have put a td there. This offense still looks like a work in progress.

They kicked 32 field goals last year. That is, 2 per game.
